Two election observing groups which has been in most of the news with some foreigners are based in Bangladesh and likely fake/name based or created prior to election or planted by Awami League Government:
Collected from facebook:
"SAARC Human Rights Foundation" and "Election Monitoring Forum" - EXPOSED
These two organisations have been parading around some foreign looking observers since election day who are making claims that the election was free, fair and festive. Like everybody else, I also thought they are actually teams sent by SAARC. But their activities seemed so odd that it was almost unbelievable that they were real. So I decided to do some google searches about them and this is what I found.
1. SAARC Human Rights Foundation is a purely Bangladeshi organisation (https://sarchumanrights.org/) with no links to SAARC. SAARC has six "Apex Bodies" (see photo) and seventeen "Recognised Bodies" (see photo) and the SAARC Human Rights Foundation is found in neither list. It has no links to SAARC whatsoever. On what basis it carries the name "SAARC" is unknown and is probably illegal.
2. SAARC Human Rights Foundations is headed by one Mawlana Abed Ali and this organisation has been holding events where they have insisted on holding elections under Awami League government (see photo). What activities this organisation actually carries out (if at all) is unknown because the "Activities" and "Media Gallery" pages in its website are empty.
3. In its "Adviser Panel" it has two Awami League MPs (see photo)
3. On 22 November 2018, the Organisation's leaders met with the Prime Minister and presented her a miniature boat (see photo).
4. The other organisation "Election Monitoring Forum" is an organisation with no website and a google search reveals that they did not exist prior to this election, as such it might seem that it is a made up organisation.
Yet, all the media houses have for some unknown reason covered their "primary evaluation" of the election and have assumed that they are an international organisation with credibility without any question about their credentials.
Free and fair election is possible under this government:
