NEW DELHI: At least 33 people have died and several others injured in three separate blasts in Hyderabad on Saturday evening.
The blasts took place at the Lumbini Park near the state secretariat in the city when a laser show was underway.
The other blast happened at an eating outlet in Koti area of the city. The cause of the blasts is not known.
The injured have been taken to the Gandhi hospital of Hyderabad. A red alert has been sounded in the city.
Eyewitnesses say the toll in the blasts could go up. TDP leader Yerran Naidu has said the blasts are a ghastly act.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has condemned the bomb blasts and expressed deep concern.
Police say the blasts were meticulously planned and executed.
