I'm hearing news of a possible small blast in a girls college in G-10, possibly G-10/4. Heard it was in an empty building.

Heard about another one in F7 as well. Word out on social media is that these were small cracker like explosions or low intensity blasts.

Also another one in a garbage can in H-8/4. That one has been confirmed by the police.

Confirm this people.

Explosion in Pak capital; no casualties

STAFF WRITER 14:55 HRS IST

Islamabad, Apr 13 (PTI) A low-intensity bomb went off today in an area in the heart of the Pakistani capital where several educational institutions are located, causing panic among people, though police said the incident did not appear to have any terror links.

The blast occurred in a garbage bin in a forested area near a federal government building. No one was injured in the blast.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Bin Yamin said preliminary investigations suggested there was no terrorist link to the blast.

He said the explosion was apparently caused by some bottles of chemicals that were in the garbage bin.

Several leading educational institutions, including the International School of Islamabad, are located in the area.

The blast triggered panic among people, including parents whose children study in these educational institutions.

Authorities cordoned off the area and evacuated the schools as a precautionary measure.

Terrorism is indeed a nasty organization, and to implement their vision and allows the death of many innocent people, is a coward act!
