Obviously there is anger in the people, who are feeling cheated after peace initiative.

In India everybody have right to express its opinion and the BJP is doing the same.

But it is government of India to decide what to do not BJP.

The GOI will take step after judging the culprits behind the blast and public sentiments.

OK, can't believe I'm doing this.

A fake passport can be 1) a counterfeit document - easier to catch OR 2) a genuine document under a fake identity - practically impossible to capture unless the security is able to identify by photo OR biometric identifiers!

Has India produced any passport?

Fake, genuine or fake name? Come up with one story and then let me refute it.

In the past rackets arranging genuine passports by beating the verification system have operated and been busted.

Could be a weakness in the Indian system before, but in this world of SDNs, either you're saying India is non-compliant to international aviation bodies, or each and every person in the Indian hierarchy is implicit with the terrorist that every check can be broken.

This is reminding me of the mumbai attacks when mumbai police published the attackers photos from their fake id cards, people here were saying if the id cards are fake then the photos must be fake too

The thing is, this is such a poor theory. He escaped to Pakistan through Dubai. How is that possible? Where is the immigration record? Where is the corroboration from Dubai?

In the first major terror strike since the November 2008 Mumbai attacks a powerful bomb blast ripped through a popular bakery in Pune on Saturday evening killing at least nine people including one foreigner and injuring 45 others.

Pune Commissioner of Police Satyapal Singh said that among the nine people who died, five were women. The foreigner killed in blast was from Taiwan.

Singh also said that three people out of the 45 injured were in a serious condition and had been admitted in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

The bomb blast took place at about 0715 hrs IST on Saturday inside the famous German Bakery near the Osho Ashram in Pune.

Union Home Ministry said that the bomb blast could be the handiwork of a terror group as the area is frequented by tourists specially foreign nationals.

NIA, CBI teams sent to Pune after blast

Union Home Secretary GK Pillai said that it was most probably a terror attack adding that a team of National Investigative Agency (NIA) officials is being sent to Pune along with a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) forensic team.

"According to the state police and Intelligence Bureau a bomb blast took place at a bakery in Pune. An unattended package was spotted by one of the waiters at the bakery who tried to open the bag when it exploded. Till now eight people are confirmed dead," said Union Home Secretary GK Pillai in New Delhi

"Till the forensic investigations are not completed we cannot ascertain who is responsible (for the blast)," said Pillai.

Pillai also said that Lashkar-e-Toiba operative David Coleman Headley, who is under the custody of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the United States of America, has surveyed the area including Osho Ashram.

Confirming Pillai's statement Special Secretary in the Union Home Ministry UK Bansal said it was indeed a terror attack.

"We did not have any prior information about any such attack. It's bound to be a terror attack," said Bansal.

Pune Police Joint Commissioner Sonawane, too, said that the explosion initially suspected to be a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder blast, could be a bomb blast.

"It is a suspected bomb blast. However, it is still not confirmed," said Sonawane after confirming that eight people had died in the explosion.

At least 40 other people including four foreigners, too, were injured in the blast and were taken to the hospitals. The entire bakery was engulfed in flames and several fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

"We are verifying the nationality of the dead. The injured have been admitted to Sasoon, Jahangir and Inlack Budharani hospitals," said Sonawane.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan said that the exact nature of blast is being investigated.


Officials suspect the explosion to be a bomb blast because the bakery is close to a Jewish centre, Chabad House, in Koregaon area of Pune.

Maharashtra ATS officials have also arrived at the spot to help in the investigation.

The bakery, situated about 200 yards from Osho Ashram, is very popular with both foreign tourists as well as residents of Pune.

The funny thing is India has still not confirmed who has died and who has lived in the incident. People are dying and coming to life by the hour! Yet we're supposed to believe their mantra that "ISI did it".

I think that the blast was an attempt to derail talks and if we scrap the talks, the terrorists would have achieved their aim, and would be giving each other high-fives. we should ensure that the terrorist don't get what they want.

Correction - You're not replying... You guys involved Pakistan early on in the thread, and you're just upset why we're not sitting and taking your flak.

Now here he is simply IN Pakistan and no mention of how he reached there. Stories keep changing. No mention of Dubai.

This is more believable, although it means Indians have been lying before. So if they are lying about one thing, they may be lying about other things too.
