Blast in Peshawar Cantt - Super Mrkt

Oh wow! Cool your radiator! People like you who can't get an argument going as they don't know what the heck they're talking about, usually end up as fools. Your riposte is offensive to say the least in tone and tenor. You my friend require some polishing up in your mannerisms. It's quite disgusting! Your nonsensical and specious arguments deserve to be treated with the contempt they deserve!

Now look here. Let me educate you on what this so called hare brained doctrine of ‘Strategic Depth’ is all about.

This is from Rizwan Hussain's book, Pakistan and the emergence of Islamic militancy in Afghanistan (Page 172) on what were the central tenets of Aslam Beg's "Strategic Doctrine", which I'm sure you haven't read because you've been shooting from your hip without understanding the concept. So here is an extract:

• The concept of strategic depth was first articulated by army chief General Mirza Aslam Beg. This doctrine stressed the need for a dispersal of Pakistan's military personnel and assets in Afghanistan well beyond the offensive capabilities of the Indian military. Pakistan's geographical width was considered inadequate for a prolonged defence against India. In this context, post-Soviet Afghanistan was considered an ideal choice for Pakistan to gain strategic depth.

• To support secessionist movements in India, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir and provide safe havens and training areas to them in Afghanistan. (Zia's strategy of 'bleeding India with a thousand cuts').

• To gain access to Central Asia in order to open that region for Pakistani economic penetration. Moreover, Pakistan could serve as the "gateway" to landlocked Central Asia for investment from the United States and other industrialised states. In this regard, a Pakistani controlled Afghanistan would enhance Pakistan's geostrategic importance for United States.

• To continue to pursue a strategy of nuclear ambivalence.

• To enhance the existing strategic and military to military relationship with the People's Republic of China (PRC).

So there. Go get yourself an education instead of trashing everything that doesn't fit your level of ignorance. And, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing! By the way, this is just the outline of the doctrine. The devil is in the detail which will run into pages.

So cool off and don't get red. It's bad for blood pressure that could result in a malfunction of not only your brain cells but even result in a heart attack!

And oh yes. You said, "strategic depth is a LOAD OF DIRTY STINKING CRAP!!!" Go tell this to your retired General Aslam Beg who propounded this doctrine. Let's see what he says to you.....Hmmmm...I don't even want to know! Jeeez! :P

Gen Aslam Beg retired in 1991 and the nuclear detonation was in 1998 and ramp up of delivery systems was done after 1998 so what ever you are barfing above is pure fantasy either yours or of the author that you are quoting.

Once an Army Chief retires, he does not make doctrine or has much influence over it any more so if the major development of our strategic assets was done after 1998 Gen Aslam Beg could not make doctrine of Strategic depth in 1991 or before.

.
Well said. Dawood is a strategic asset.

Still missing the point in that brain of your huh.. unreal he might be stragistic asset for you not for us. Iam just telling you what is going down and who are behind it its terrorist not this dumb a$$ dawood i care less for the sucker get your facts write then write go do some serious homework.

Between 20,000 and 50,000 soldiers are taking part in the Azm-e-Nau-3 exercises, which began on April 10 and will finish May 13. They have been described as the biggest ever exercises since 1989, when military exercises codenamed “Zarb-e-Momin” were held. As the Americans were withdrawing from Afghanistan in the wake of the Soviet withdrawal, the then-chief of the Army Staff General Mirza Aslam Beg coined the doctrine of “Strategic Depth” for Pakistan in Afghanistan, under which the Pakistan army supported the mujahideen and later propped up the Taliban.

I know they are Munafiqs(hypocrites), but they always claim for bombings in the past. I think this is first time they are denying.

After any incident, anyone just makes a phone call to tv channels and says "I am taliban representative, and we take the responsibility". The media just plays ticker for the same.

.
It could have been anybody, there are many "Taliban" groups, like the Haqqani Network, Mullah Nazir Taliban, Hafiz Gul Bahadur Taliban, TTP Taliban, Al Qaeda linked Taliban, Afghan Taliban, etc.

So if one group denies it, another group could be responsible for it. The terrorist miscreants claim to be united but in reality they are very fractured and divided.

.
Its very easy and convenient to blame everything on the taliban but one has to understand that not everything is their doing. There are many other faction involved in Pakistan that want to destabilize Pakistan to an extent where the world would feel to intervene and secure the nuclear assets of Pakistan. Taliban have nothing to gain if Pakistan losses its nuclear deterrent, we all know who will gain out of this whole fiasco.

Peshawar—Taliban on Sunday denied responsibility for twin bomb blasts that ripped through a crowded market in Peshawar, killing 39 people and injuring dozens.

The attack, one of the deadliest in a series to hit Pakistan since US Navy SEALs killed Osama bin Laden in May, devastated the Khyber Super Market which included a hotel, shops and student accommodation.

The Taliban, who have threatened to carry out attacks to avenge the killing of bin Laden, denied any role in the bombing and said they target only the government and military.

“We did not carry out this attack in Peshawar. It is an attempt by foreign secret agencies who are doing it to malign us,” Tehreek-e-Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan told media on phone.

“We do not target innocent people. Our targets are very clear, we attack security forces, government and people who are siding with it,” Ehsan said.

At least 39 people were killed and over 90 injured, among them television journalists and a senior police officer, when two blasts ripped through a marketplace in the garrison area of Peshawar just before midnight on Saturday.

“First a gas cylinder exploded at Lala Restaurant in Khyber Supermarket in Peshawar Cantt,” a witness said. “People flocked to the site out of curiosity,” he added. “Minutes later, a huge blast rocked the market.”

SSP Operations Ejaz Khan corroborated the eyewitness’ account, saying it was a trap. “The cylinder was exploded to attract people to the site,” he added.

Khan said that the bomb was strapped to a motorcycle parked outside the ill-fated restaurant – a famous eatery of the city which is usually frequented by a large number of food-lovers. He said the explosive device weighed around 10 kilogrammes.

Capital City Police Officer Liaquat Ali Khan confirmed late Saturday night that at least 34 people were killed and over 90 wounded in the bombing. The casualties were ferried to different hospitals of the city, where a state of emergency was declared.

Eye witnesses said that the restaurant and several adjoining shops were badly damaged in the explosion which also triggered a huge fire in the market. The explosion also caused a power outage in the area, and security and rescue officials were forced to work in the dark.

Khyber Supermarket is located in a high-security zone of Peshawar’s cantonment area.

The office of Khyber Agency’s political agent and a Pakistan Army residential colony are situated nearby.

The explosion took place exactly where a tribal journalist, Nasrullah Afridi, was killed in a targeted bomb blast last month.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain condemned the ‘cowardly terrorist attack’.

Taliban deny responsibility, blame ‘foreign agencies’

.
They've targeted plenty of innocent people in the past though. Maybe they realize they are extremely unpopular amongst Pakistanis, & they just want anti-Americanism & anti-Pakistan Army sentiments to rise in the public. In my opinion, they might try to deny civilian deaths but accept deaths inflicted on the Pakistani Army.

What has Sarabjeet Singh got to do with these bombings? Wake up and go smell some coffee.

Thanks but no thanks..............Indians are the last person on this planet, we would be looking forward for an advise.

by holding taleban responsible for each and every act inside Pakistan we are actually affirming that all those indian terrorists such as sarabjeet singh who blowed bombs in our towns and cities before 9/11 left for mars on 10/11/2001.:agree:
Thats impossbile...they are still operating via indian consulates in afghanistan and all sorts of colourful agencies who are anti-Pakistan are operating there.
Ben Gurion's statement on Pakistan cannot be disregarded under current circumstances prevailing in the region:agree:

What the hell is the problem with you Indians ?? has the Pakistan obsession made you Indians that much insane that there is no logical thinking left in whatever brains you people have ??

If you guys are so sure, what is stopping you and your govt from going to UN and get a resolution passed into sanctioning Pakistan or going to war with it with the blessing of UN. Why can't you present the proof of PA supporting Taliban or Dawood in ISI protection to the world ?? Atleast fabricate lies infront of UN just like how US did to attack Iraq.

You guys come on these forums and utter out your Bull Shiet but when we ask you to present proof, then you guys start uttering other Dog Shiet.

If Headly says ISI guys did Mumbai and you guys take it as the truth, then i say RAW chief gave the order for Mumbai attacks, now you will say proof, then what proof did headly give other then his statement, same statement which i just made about the RAW doing Mumbai attacks.

Pathetic and idiotic is the attitude from you Indians when it comes to blaming but when we ask for proof, then you guys shut up and say if our govt says then its true, if headly says its true, if US says its true.

Pathetic hypocrites.

If any other Indian came up with similar horse shiet, i am gonna through them out for good.
