Some people in Karachi are saying that construction in those islands will destroy traditional defenses of Karachi like mangroves...how you guys see that?

Wasn't Zulfikarabad destroying the mangroves? PPP had no problem then. PPP is a anti Pakistan hindu party they will just argue for the sake of argument.

Karachi needs less burden. A city in Keti Bandar with a sea and air port is needed ( which PPP wanted to build as Zulfikarabad) and it can be made capital of Sindh so the PPP can go bury themselves their and leave karachi alone.
