Claims president complicit in efforts to sabotage vote of no-confidence

Foreign Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday called for immediately impeaching President Dr Arif Alvi for the role he played in the vote of no-confidence and subsequent transfer of power.
Reacting to President Dr Arif Alvi’s speech to the joint session of the lower and upper houses of Parliament on Thursday, where the latter called for conducting early elections and called on all parties to sit and decide on a date, and terming it the only way to end growing polarization in the country, Bilawal sought to remind his followers about the president’s role over the past six months.
President Dr Arif Alvi is complicit in unconstitutional efforts to sabotage the vote of no confidence, he wrote in a post on the microblogging site Twitter on Thursday evening.

He accused Dr Alvi of violating the Constitution and his oath to undermine the transfer of power after the vote of no-confidence passed in the lower house of parliament, effectively removing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan from the prime minister’s seat.
“Therefore PPP joined allies in boycotting his address,” he explained the absence of treasury members from the house.
“We demand efforts to impeach him must begin as soon as possible,” he added.
It remains to be seen how far the coalition government, of which the PPP is an integral member, will act on Bilawal’s advice.

This joker and his baap couldn't (or wouldn't) even investigate his mother's murder while in power....

dropping nude pictures of his mother and grandparents from a helicopter ...
Yep, it was done by PMLN and guess what who was the architect of it. Our one and only filthy Sheeda Talli. Nevertheless, this scum of the world was later apprehended in a fake Kalashnikov case, where he spent three years in prison. Moral of the story PPP did not spare the culprit.

Party policy is party policy, no pick and chose. Look at Mariam Nawaz or her brother, how they blackmail judges or her husband's statement about nude pictures or sex videos ..It is Ram Gali syndrome. PMLN has ruined Pakistani politics by adding all type of filth...

Don t forget Mian Latif passing vulgar remarks about Murad Saeed sisters ...

  • Alvi's own party boycotted his speech today, says PDM chief.
  • Arif Alvi should resign immediately, says Fazlur Rehman.
  • Earlier, President Arif Alvi addressed joint session of parliament.

Following President Arif Alvi’s mandatory address to the parliament which attended only 15 lawmakers, PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman demanded president Arif Alvi to resign.
Taking to Twitter, the JUI-F head said that President has no authority to be in the seat as his party members boycotted his speech during the joint session of parliament.
Fazlur Rehman called Arif Alvi selected and violator of the constitution and said his party lawmaker boycotted his speech at the beginning of the parliamentary year.
"Therefore Alvi has no authority to remain on the post and should resign immediately," he tweeted.

President Alvi demands free and fair election

While addressing a joint session of the Parliament to mark the beginning of the last parliamentary year of the current National Assembly, President Arif Alvi reiterated that free and fair elections remain in demand, suggesting the adoption of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to ensure transparency in the electoral process.
“How will Pakistan stabilise, if every election is challenged,” he questioned, adding that polarisation should be addressed because this is the year of elections.

Details of the session

President Alvi addressed the session with the hall nearly empty. There were only 15 lawmakers in the audience during the President's speech, which was later reduced to 12. Undeterred by the scanty audience, the president pressed ahead with his address.
Some of the PTI defectors were also present in the hall. Speaker asked the members to take their seats. Balochistan Awami Party lawmakers were in attendance too, while those from the PML-N, PPP, and JUI-F boycotted the President's address without any warning.
On the other hand, PTI's members of the Parliament said they boycotted the session because they did not believe in this assembly. Out of 422, only 14 lawmakers were in the hall during the President's address.
