Bihar rape

A woman in a Bihar village was gangraped by some men, who also thrashed her for resisting the assault.

Awoman was raped and left to die by a group of men in Chakhabib Rudhiya village of Samastipur in Bihar. The accused targeted her when she ventured out to use a nearby toilet in the area.
After raping her, the accused hung the woman from an electric pole in the village, leaving her for dead. However, villagers later found her in an unconscious and critical state.
The incident took place on Tuesday in the Vibhutipur police station area of Samastipur when the woman went out in the morning to use an open toilet. The men took her to a deserted area where they assaulted her. As she resisted the rape, she was thrashed and also threatened with death.
As she resisted, the accused men brutally thrashed her and left her in a critical state. The woman was later found below the electric pole on the roadside with no clothes on and in a severe condition.

The villagers rushed the victim to a sub-divisional hospital in Dalsinghsarai but was later referred to another hospital where she is undergoing treatment. Her condition remains critical and she is unable to speak.
There was a wedding ceremony at the victim's residence and there were a number of labourers working in tents. Locals have claimed that the labourers are behind the heinous assault on the woman.
The villagers later accosted 7 labourers who were working at the tents set up for the wedding and handed them over to the police over their suspicion. Police are now questioning the labourers.
