Mao may have folded his arms during the war but he didn't get overthrown.

he wasn't the leader. Mao didn't have the power to fold his arms, he was just a local politician at the time. Since when do local politicians get to decide military matters? Why did the democrats fold their arms during the civil war, by your logic?

So the NYT joins the bandwagon, probably red-faced at the sight of China and Russia standing together against the present-day fascist US regime.

Here:

http://mobile.nytimes.com/…/as-russia-remembers-war-in-euro…

What a bald faced lie! The KMT capitulated to the Japanese early on and directed their fire at the Communists rather than the Japanese invaders. It was the CCP that sought a coalition with the KMT to fight the Japanese.

But in addition to revising history the NYT also seeks to denigrate the present day rapprochement between Russia and China, asserting that Russia's "bullying tactics" in Ukraine are the reason why the West imposed sanctions when in fact it was the West's desire to isolate Russia that precipitated the crisis. The NYT's attempt to rewrite both history and current events is a travesty and bound to fail. It's transparent revisionism would be laughable if not for it being so insidious.

The bald-faced lies and historical revisionism are not just outrageous, but reflects very badly on that organizational culture within the New York Times.

These schmucks from within the New York Times have learned from Adolph Hitler's Svengali, Joseph Goebbels, on the use of propaganda, and how to tell the big lie.

That Jane Perlez would resort to such blatant distortions about the history of Chinese resistance to the Japanese Occupation of China, with Mao Zedong's Red Guerrilla Army playing a pivotal role in the War of Resistance, and burnishing the role of Chiang Kai Shek's KMT army flies in the face of history recorded not just through the works of General Stilwell, of U.S. State Department officials such as John S. Service, John Paton Davies, et al..... all experienced "middle-echelon" U.S. diplomats directly in the front-lines observing and reporting on the eye-ball front lines in the China theater during the War of Resistance.

Jane Perlez ought to be ashamed of herself for such a blatant historical bald-faced lie. And her editors within the NYT's editorial staff and fact-checkers ought to be called for it.

I lost all respect for the NYT organization and the schmucks from within that highly unprofessional, and China-bashing partisan, neolib organization. With schmucks like these, no wonder that US regime continues to get so much blowbacks and get mired in such global quagmires.

What exactly motivates these rascals and schmucks? What do they think of us Chinese intellectuals and historians? Ninnies and imbeciles?

I don't know why people think it is intellectually honest to equate KMT and CPC in the 1930's. One was the party in power, the other was the opposition party. The opposition party does not get to command national resources, otherwise it would be the party in power.

i am waitting for you more infos by exposure ,which no one hardly knows.

The biggest mistake in history is Nazi Germany siding with Japan and Italy and fought against Allied. Had Nazi Germany allied with the Soviet Union and China, the WWII outcome would be very different today. Of all world power in 20th century, Germany helped industrialized and modernized our military the most. They simply betrayed us because we were weak and a liability. Hitler is stupid but he is a great German leader, no doubt.

3rd big Irony

Stalin wanted China's land, Outer Mongolia
despite being "China's ally". Stalin has a 5th column inside China, CPC.

Roosevelt reluctantly agree.

The biggest loser of WW2 in term of land loss is not Japan or Germany, but China.

Yalta Conference - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Roosevelt wanted the USSR to enter the Pacific War with the Allies. One Soviet precondition for a declaration of war against Japan was an American official recognition of Mongolian independence from China (Mongolian People's Republic had already been the Soviet satellite state in World War One and World War Two), and a recognition of Soviet interests in the Manchurian railways and Port Arthur (but not asking the Chinese to lease)

Japan lost 2/3 of its pre Pearl harbor land due to lossing WW2. They are the biggest loser.
They lost Manchukuo and Korea. Then they lost Taiwan which they had held since 1895 in a war not with KMT nor CCP but with Qing China !
Heck they even lost 4 islands to Russia.

Why the KMT apologists always use CPC as the scapegoat for losing Outer Mongolia?

KMT itself was highly incompetent for not being capable to keep Outer Mongolia within China, then stop blaming CPC for your own incompetence!
