is anyone familiar with this?? anyone grow it??
i am going to grow this stuff this year( hopefully it works out)
do you eat it often?? can you handle the heat?
pretty much anything you like to say bout it
You gonna plant it just to eat like that or what?
It grows in the remote hills of Assam - as far as I know, the local cuisine is not known to be spicy as such, but this chilli is acknowledged to be the hottest in the world.
I have seen it on TV and the chef advised wearing thick rubber gloves while handling the spice and also asked to be careful of the smoke while stir frying the chilis. Given this, I was bloody surprised to find a pack of these (dried) at the neighborhood grocery store the other day. Didn't have the guts to buy/try it, but might just do it on a day I'm feeling crazy
heard about ghost chilli... Whats with it now OP?
well.. i might test one out raw.. and make youtube chilli test with it lolol
but nah.. i will be growing prik kee noo, also which is thai chilli, literally meaning (rat droppings) because it look like rat droppings when it is dried
i will mainly use thai chilli for food etc.. but when i want that bit of extra bang.. i will cut up small parts of the bhut jolokia and put that in my meals also
Kesang, Zootinali, wet shirt contest, Hembo on PDF these guys are from North-East India. But I have read articles about Bhoot Jolokia it is very very hot and people generally take piece about 1mm size to taste its heat.(but do confirm this before trying).

i have heard from my assamese friend about this chilli variety.
It is very small in size but considered as hottest chilli in world.
in our house, there was a shrub of bhoot jolokia..i heard a story from elders about how a person who could eat chillies like popcorn hold a bet to eat an entire chilli but couldn't eat half of it...and how the person felt pain and agony for few hours...i think DRDO is building a tear gas shell from these.i read it somewhere..
