Bhindars quit PTI, join PML-N
LAHORE: Former minister Shahid Akram Bhindar and his son Waleed Akram Bhindar on Tuesday announced to quit Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
The Bhindars called on PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and expressed complete trust in the leadership of the party. The PML-N chief welcomed the joining of the Bhinders, saying that the real faces of those raising slogans of change were being exposed before the nation. The Bhindars said only Nawaz Sharif could extricate Pakistan from crises facing it, as he had vision, passion and an experienced political and economic team to deliver. Shahid Bhindar alleged that Imran Khan had neither an agenda nor any programme and was only misleading the people by changing his stance every day. The Bhindars had joined PTI in October 2011. Shahid had been a member of the National Assembly from Gujranwala and state minister under Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q). Waleed had served as PTI Gujranwala president. staff report
