Vietnam Festival 2015 - The Japan Times
The largest celebration of Japan-Vietnam cultural exchange is back this year with even more music and food.
This two-day festival of food, culture, music and merchandise is celebrating 35 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam. Organized in part by the Vietnamese Embassy, the event is expected to attract more than 130,000 visitors.
Of the 80 booths, more than half will offer traditional Vietnam cuisine such as pho (noodle soup), banh mi sandwiches, Vietnamese-style skewered chicken, mango and curry, to be washed down with popular Vietnamese beers such as Saigon and 333.
There will also be performances of both traditional and contemporary music, including Vietnam rocker Pham Anh Khoa, idol singer Van Mai Huong and Queen tribute band Gueen. (Sydney Dorner)
Vietnam Festival 2015 happens June 13-14 at Yoyogi Park from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The event is free. Visit the website for more Information.
