Best-selling cars around the world

no speed limit autobahns. US freeways limit it to 70mph. Fact is average toyota and ferrari will both run at the speed on the street to confirm to speed limit. I some times wonder why americans buy fast cars.

Why limit it to Americans..I suppose any country that doesn't have Autobahn type rules for their roads should stick with 3 cylinder cars.

its US vs germany.
I dont have issue with toyotas but fast cars. In other countries policing is not so strong so ppl will drive fast any way. so where do americans drive mustangs & corvettes?

Ouch, you really gave me a great retour ... LOL

Reasons why we sell more small cars are manifold, unlike the US, our cities are old, very old with tons of history and culture and art. Secondly, we have less human whales to transport and I fail to see what is so manly with human whales. Thirdly, we are more environment conscious such as less petrol consumption and last but not least, our public transportation is miles ahead of any US cities and we have better sidewalks and bike lanes.

And our cars just have more class ...

Be honest. You Scandinavian or Europeans can not afford big vehicles. You simply do not have the money to buy the vehicles and gasoline. Grapes are sour and big cars are bad for environment, lol.

It's more about the "effortless acceleration" phenomena. It's when you gently press the pedal and the car MOVES. That's why Teslas are popular. It doesn't have a high top end speed but it is roomy and quick.

@Gomig-21 I assume you feel the same. How many times did you try pegging 155 on the speedo...twenty times maybe. The rest of the time you were smiling at the sub 100 rides.

In Florida’s 12 lane freeway , you can go as much higher as you want when you keep straight line. 80 miles/140km is widely tolerated by the cops ; you can even overtake them or vice versa.

.
So do your buses fly? Apparently your miles ahead public transportation has figured out a way of moving people on roads that cars bigger than a VW Golf have trouble driving down. That makes buses an extremely limited mode of transportation..unless you have magic buses...

I have always known that you are intellectually challenged.

It's the parking space in old cities why many people buy small cars and buses don't need parking space in the city as the depositories are normally outside of the city. Small cars are also prefered because they need less petrol. We do think more for the next generations.

Furthermore, we also have trams, metros and S-bahn in large cities.

if you attempt to drive less than 80 on I-95 in any lane here in MA people will honk at you.

It is true for tesla but again it is not a gasoline vehicle and % of tesla's on road is pretty less now.

LOL! I meant your old TransAm..but even as an old lady I highly doubt you are down to a 4.

Still have it, too. Hard to believe a 2001 is considered old, man does time fly.

Surprised there's no Beamers or Benzs or Audis on that list, especially in the European countries.
I can see the F-150 being the most popular ride in the US. I think 1 out of every 3 vehicles in Texas is a truck of some kind and even around here they're maybe 1 out of every 5. I had an F-150 back in 1996, have moved up the payload considerably since then. The Ecoboost is outstanding. The only thing that's a pain for me is having to use DEFT for my desiel dually. With the mileage I put on a year, I have to fill the tank 2 or 3 times @ roughly $30/gallon. But it's quiet and no stink, so I guess worth it.

Are you serious? Is that just for the Ecoboost engine or is it a mandatory diesel thing? How big is the tank and does it smell like horse piss?

Yeah I mixed that whole thing up and confused everything, sorry about that. I was just complementing the Ecoboost on the F-150s but I don't have that on the F-450 and the DEF fluid is just for cleaning the exhaust of the 6.7L turbo diesel. It works well and doesn't smell at all. It looks just like water and keeps the exhaust smelling nuetral. Also helps the engine run much quieter.

I pick it up (at most gas stations) when the dash starts warning me there's 500 miles left on the fluid. If I go past the 500 miles before filling it up, the engine speed is automatically reduced to max 50mph. Happened only once in SC on my way down the FLA. It's a bit of a pain but to get that power and payload and all the goodies with that biig truck, small price to pay.

I had an F-350 diesel from 2005 - 2015, that truck was awesome but man was it loud and the diesel stunk like hell. That thing never let me down, though. Real tough truck and I used harder than it was meant to be used lol.

LOL had to be right next to each other! So how many times have you accidentally poured the DEF into your diesel tank?
