How is this program sustained ?
Do the families who rely on it ever develop capacity to start earning their own income or this is some sort of "RICHLY" grant given to people to relax at home and collect funds
If PPP generates the money by some sort of Amazing "INVESTMENT" OR money genration by all means call it Benazir fund and use it freely but if it is Government fund , I think the fund should be renamed , Anti Poverty Fund - Pakistan
How does this fund Helps the recipient to become "Self dependent" to earn their own honest living ? By working on a Job ? I understand the case for elderly or pregnent single mothers
In Pakistan there is the
a) Tax (Government)
Income
Sales Tax
b) Zakat (Religious tax)
So where is this fund Benazir Income fund getting its $$$$ Tax payers or Religious donations?
Research has shown that Business loans / Training (Hands on) helps people earn income on their own is more beneficial vs a hand out !!!
* Plus government should introduce laws to ensure no direct Zakat money goes to Mosques
Instead it should be given to Government Account , and government should give certificate to
the mosque and issue any funding any improvements
- I read it is around 980 MIllion USD annually distributed using federal budget
- Who gives the certificate , that the families collecting the checks are indeed deserving families
- Considering corruption in NADRA , what chance is there the money just ends up in Politician's hands and then it is shifted offshore to UAE
- Why the name of program is politcial when the funding is coming from Government of Pakistan?
- Should this program not be under the microscope since NADRA cards have shown to be bogus (% due to corruptuion)
- Who knows Millions of "Visitors" might be running around a card in hand collecting free checks from Government of Pakistan
- If Pakistan has 3-4 Million Afghan refugees , running around with fake NADRA cards how many of these 3-4 Million collect the checks from this program ?
- How many con artist Pakistani , running with fake IDs , collecting a check monthly?
