ISLAMABAD: The investigation team of the FIA probing Benazir Bhuttos assassination, revealed on Monday that police officers had demonstrated criminal negligence in the case, while Benazir Bhuttos killing was part of a conspiracy.
In the report presented by the FIA investigation team to a special court in Rawalpindi, it was stated that washing the scene of the crime immediately after the Liaquat Bagh tragedy was a serious offense. The report said that not conducting a post-mortem on the former prime minister was also a crime.
According to the chief of Rawalpindi General Hospital, the former DPO Rawalpindi, Saud Aziz had given instructions to the administration of the hospital to not conduct a post-mortem and halt further investigations.
Meanwhile, according to police officials, instructions had been given by the former CPO Rawalpindi remove Benazir Bhuttos security.
