Beijing's GDP poses to overtake Shanghai's

It will be hard I believe but it might be done, it depends on the population growth also, Shanghai and Beijing had set the maximum population targets. It was something like 23m for Beijing and 25m for Shanghai if I remember correctly.

Beijing has few population but Beijing's per capita GDP is higher than Shanghai so the overall GDP is very close and Beijing's growth is faster.

The cities of Beijing and Shanghai both have an economy twice as big as that of the whole country of vietnam lol.

Now the top 5 from the highest to the lowest are: Shanghia, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Guangzhou. Those 5 are undisputed first tier cities in China.
