Beijing vows justice as ISIS kills Chinese, Norwegian hostages

until now it is only US who is capable to deploying large number of military units aboard, until US administration said yes we want to get rid ISIS by sending their boots no one will risking their military personnel by sending large number units without strong back-up from US (until now almost all of coalition forces had been backing up their logistic needs by US and NATO owned equipments)

the best thing China can do without getting tangled up in this mess is by giving the Kurds weapons and funding.

To be honest, in this conflict, you are either in or out. Just like Russian found out, you cant be in between you have to get involved if you want to have any real impact/effect or just stay away from it altogether.:pop:

.
Well, you might be right, but then again you think the U.S/U.K/France and Russia have been intervening overseas because they like to?lol No, its out of necessity and protecting our interests/citizens globally. If you want to depends on others to protect you abroad, then nobody should complain. We do everything we can to protect our interests/citizens by all means necessary, others can criticize us for that and make conspiracy theories about that, we don't care, let them carry on.:pop: Funny thing is when there is any civil war/conflict in a region anywhere in the world, everybody looks towards western powers to help/intervene and when we do they criticize us. lol

So every power has to use any means to protect its interests since no other country will do that for you.

Another recent example is the recent terrorists hostage taking in Mali where your citizens and other nations citizens were killed.
Russian, Chinese, US citizens die in Mali attack - RTÉ News

Its the U.S,France and Britain yet again that world is looking towards for leadership and they are the ones whose forces are deployed on the ground helping Malian soldiers.

Mali crisis: 330 UK military personnel sent to West Africa - BBC News.

Chinese special forces have fought terrorists as well as foreign soldiers beyond our borders but sending out troops OPENLY to another country is against the Chinese political doctrines. China might be at the crossroad of projecting military powers overseas

The whole world needs to support the legitimate government of Syria which is headed by Assad. Quite shocking that he is not being recognized by the leaders of the democratic western world when in fact Assad is elected in a democratic and free elections by the majority. Another thing is to support the Kurds, it's a win-win solution, they are genuine in fighting the terrorists and at the same time they are fighting against the tyrant terrorist-supporter Erdogan.

Well, you might be right, Its indeed true that Assad SEEMS to be a LESSER evil here(but an evil nevertheless. lol). Its not really because Assad is any better, its just that ISIS and other Islamic extremist/terrorists groups target virtually any country/power indiscriminately, Reason they have attracted so much media attention. Don't also forget Assad has tortured/killed thousands of his own people during his father's reign and his own reign a la monarchy. lol Plus Assad also supported these same terrorist/Islamist groups against U.S/British forces when we were trying to stabilize Iraq, he openly justified his support for these radical Islamic groups(Al Qaeda included) as Jihad against infidel invaders. lol The same slogan ISIS and other extremists group fighting his regime are now using against him today. call it Karma. Dont forget that these groups Assad openly supported killed not just dozens/hundreds of American/British soldiers but also tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians.:agree: This is something many people forget. lol

Its for this reason that i have no pity for Dictator Assad and his regime. But as you said for now, ISIS threatens our interests more than the butcher Assad, so guess its understandable we strike ISIS for now, and let Assad gain some ground. That's Geo politics anyway, sometimes have to dance/cooperate with the enemy for a while.:chilli::D

Assad must stay and rule over Syria. Assad is a defender of his country from terrorists.

Russia must maintain its military base in Syria.

No pipelines should be build through Syria that helps the Sunni dictators in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

I was just talking some sense to some members on here who seem to think Assad is/was a saint who has never caused any harm to anybody. lol I just want them to know(or remember) Assad himself supported these same Jihadists who have no turned against their former sponsor/Godfather.

No need to worry though, we are now against ISIS and other Islamist groups as well, since these groups target any nation irregardless of nationality and threaten our interests, at least Assad is smart enough to be suicidal in attacking/killing western civilians brutally like these Islamist do(since he knows that will mean the end of his regime if he did that. lol),but that still doesn't in any way makes him a good guy.:D
As i said before, he wanted to play big power games with the Big boys even though he knew it was way above his league. So he has to take responsibilities for his actions and the current state of his country)which has now become a testing ground for big powers like Russia, U.S,U.K,France to test their weapons/skills).:pop:

Nobody claimed Assad is good. But when force to choose between 2 evil. Assad looks like saint in these circumstances. Don't tell me both need to kill. That can only happen in an ideal world but in real reality one devil needs to be retained.

In this case, Assad looks the better. But you western only think about an ideal world and not realistic to accept the reality. Look at what happen to Libya? Did it turn into western ideal world or the cruel reality? We do not want another tragic to happen again. If we allow mistakes to repeat twice. Then its only becos you are stupid.

that's true i guess, but China is already fighting it's own terrorists in the Uighurs.

I just can't see China using it's planes to bomb IS.

you would have to see a massive attack in China by IS to justify that.

.
After UNSC passed French call for all possible actions against ISIL, Chinese involvement is imminent too. Why not? There are at least 200+ Uyghur terrorists in the ISIS gangs. If China let go these terrorists would either be killed or captured by Russians/Americans/French/British. Americans/British/French would love to offer asylum to those terrorists as they did before. PLA could send a regiment of Su30MMK, a few J-10s as well as UAVs to Syria.

Even if there was to be a massive attack on China by Uygurs terror groups(there has been many already), you wont see any Chinese intervention in Syria whatsoever. There are many reasons for that which i can't begin to explain on here since it might be off topic.:pop:
