Pamukkale is a town in western Turkey known for the mineral-rich thermal waters flowing down white travertine terraces on a nearby hillside. It neighbors Hierapolis, an ancient Roman spa city founded around 190 B.C. Ruins there include a well-preserved theater and a necropolis with sarcophagi that stretch for 2km. The Antique Pool is famous for its submerged Roman columns, the result of an earthquake.

Yes. And, these open air pools, filled with mineral water, flows over the Roman relics!!! And, hot mineral water flows from the top of these calcimined stairs along the slope of the mountain!!! Basically, you can wade through them!!!!

Which Muslim country they're robbing???? 3m Syrian folks have been given residence and work permits, and they're living and working all over Turkey. And, this is just the beginning!!!!!! How many Iranian folks have settled and prospered in Turkey after the removal of the Shah??? It must be running in 100Ks of folks!!!!! Already thousands of students from all over the Muslim world are studying in Turkey!!! I look forward to a day when it swells to millions like the Western countries!!!

I think you are talking about 'Kaplicalar'. These can be found in several provinces.

The nearest town to Pamukkale which has name of "Karahayıt" is more famous with its red water with such benefical features. You can see many Koreans all around the year at there.

Last time I've been there going into the pools at Pamukkale was no longer allowed. Is it open again?

Only pools on the old road allowed which are free also.
Cleopatra's pool also allowed but with fee.
Only walking with bare foot allowed when walking on travertins.
