And another pertinent question here is many great Companions of Messenger (Peace be upon him) were alive at that time, including companions who fought in Badar and many other fights ..... why none of those companions assisted Imam Hussain?

Many great companions have already died.. Sahbah of that age were too young when Holy Prophet SAW died (even Abdullah bi abu bakar, he was child during Prophet's SAW time)...
many Sahabs didnt take bayat of Yazid.. Yazid had no issue bcz 1) these were few 2)Mostly were in Medina (so hard to arrest them) and children of Prophet and early Sabahas.. like Hazrat Abdullah bin Bakar, Abdullah bin Umar, Hazrat Hussain himself etc..
You see, it was age of chaos... in true sense a 3rd gen of war.. there were so many misinformation and rumors that Sahabh even couldn't save Hazrat Usman from rebels... so how could they save Hazrat Hussain, when there were fewer and elderly.

Everyone knows it the way ...... how Tabri wanted them to know it ......... again I can safely say that everyone knows it the way how a Persian wanted them to know it. Ameer Yazeed didn't kill Imam Hussain, he couldn't have. Tabri's work in this regard ends up quoting people who never existed, and then all those millions vs few is some fairy tale they introduced to stir emotions of people. Karbala if it ever happened ...... was only half an hour conflict, it happened all of a sudden without Imam Hussain and Ameer Yazeed wanting it to happen.

I can read a book for hours but cannot watch a lengthy video , will watch it sometime. Yasir Qadhi ....... I will appreciate if you could summarize basis of his work?

Then why we treat him as a reliable historian, and put so much value on him and his work? He has been quoting events from a chain of people that ends at a non existent person. Many other historians relied on his work and formed it as their basis and kept adding fairy tales without any check ....... and without anybody questioning their work ....... ultimately the history ended as "Hi story" or "his story" only deprived of facts and truth.

And later people who did research on his work and other similar renowned people work ....... ended up getting their work and books banned. There is a major distortion in the Islamic history as we read it today ..... and this distortion has led to cursing and abusing of personalities (out of our ignorance) which in no way deserve it.

I did read a few books ........ why don't you try challenging your faith and preconceived beliefs and try reading a book or two that questions the fairy tales you have been fed since your childhood. I did that ........ do you feel secure enough to do that?

Muawiya himself is son of Hind (famous to the liver eater) who ate the liver of Hamzay (AS), our prophet's brave uncle. One of the few martyrdoms that brought tears on prophet's holy face.

It's really painful you call Yazeed the Ameer the grandson of Hind, if you don't care about religion and just a history reader, so forget about my previous comment. Only Saudis are Takfiring Sunni Imams like Imam Shafei, Imam Hanbal, Maliki (RA). They are respected by both Shias and Sunnis, we follow many of their advices too. BTW, read some books other than Saudi ones please friend
