Our animated historical documentary series on the Ottoman history continues with the battle of Mohacs of 1526. As sultan Suleiman conquered Belgrade in 1521 and Rhodes in 1522, he was able to focus all his resources on the European expansion and his next target was the Kingdom of Hungary, which was once one of the strongest in Europe, but was in a decline. The battle of Mohacs changed the fate of Hungary for the centuries to come and opened the way for the Ottoman invasions into Europe.

That would be Vlad Dracul. No he would not feature in this video as he was already dead by the time the battle at Mohacs took place.

I really wish they had pushed up to & captured Vienna...

History would be so different. :D

They should have moved their capital further into Europe for easier logistics or should have made a major city on the continent for easier supply routes. With being a ally of France, they could have easily taken on the Habsburgs.

.
France was such a useless ally.

The Ottomans even wanted to ally with Hungary and partition Europe between us.

We did not want to fight them but instead we had no choice too busy larping as Europeans and Catholics. Look how Europeans backstabbed Hungarians numerous times but still the Hungarians hate Turks rather their so called European brothers.
