Bangladesh is among the top three inbound markets for travel to the United Arab Emirates alongside the United Kingdom and India.

Tourists flying in from Pakistan, Germany and Saudi Arabia come next, reports The National News.

Besides, business travellers coming to its capital Dubai are also predominantly from Bangladesh, India and Pakistan- closely followed by Saudi Arabia and the UK.

The UAE has been named the travel industry's most recovered country in 2022 according to travel technology company Travelport.

The Emirates has surpassed its pre-pandemic tourism numbers, recovering to 110% of its 2019 levels.

With more than 98.49% of the population fully vaccinated, travellers are also comfortable with the pandemic response of the country.

As expected, Dubai leads the way when it comes to where people in the UAE are travelling to.

Home to the world's tallest skyscraper, the only "seven-star" hotel and the newly opened Museum of the Future, the city is the second-most recovered spot in the Middle East and the fifth most recovered globally, according to Travelport.

It ranks behind long-standing popular tourist destinations in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico, and just behind Saudi Arabia's Riyadh.

The city has had an even more impressive recovery, with tourist levels returning to 115% of its pre-pandemic figures.

. . . . .
Oh Please do not boast Bangalis in numbers going to Middle eastern countries. You would only do it if you had never been to a middle eastern country and seen your bother's conditions.

for the UAE especially, This is a very old broken record. Conditions for all unskilled labor of all nationalities has improved drastically and is continuing to improve

at the time of the construction boom ( country boom really) mistakes took place on both ends. what is important now is to acknowledge the improvements and give credit where it is due.

Black money holders bro.

But not only them, heaps of our people go to UAE and Saudi for peanuts and be treated like slaves. I know lot of poor people go there to makea living but it needs to change. We should either create employment within the country or our people should look for employment in more civilized countries where human rights and work place rights have higher standards.

Guys why does every thread have to turn into a pi$$ing contest?

Please align your thoughts on how to augment each countries capabilities with the other. This will make both stronger.

That is what the creators of East/West Pakistan wanted in any case.

Don't get into petty name-calling.

Reach out with handshakes across the divide. Each of our countries have unique strengths - combine them.

We have common enemies, fighting amongst ourselves will only make those enemies stronger.

Not my fault the penjabis think they have the right to trash talk Bangladesh and Bengalis all the time..

I just reply in kind, it's a shame we have to share the world with some, as yet, uncivilized societies who believe in racial superiority, practise incest and fancy killing their sisters in name of honour.

Darned shame actually.

I have seen a few video footage either of UAE or Saudi Arabia where the construction workers do not wear helmets.

Do not you think it is like denying the workers' safety. The govt enacts laws regarding safety and forces the construction companies to follow them.

It seems UAE lacks implementation tools for some basic rights.

They don't lack any implementation tools. Arabs as a whole lack civilization, they are tribal barbarians. Otherwise they don't have any lack of resources or money to ensure safety of workers. They do ensure that for their own citizens though.

You forgot exploding themselves here and there, everywhere.

I understand that your blood boils knowing of instances where your own brethren and countrymen are being mistreated while trying to work abroad. I would feel the same way about my people. However, you need to take a deep breath and stop the blind hate of all that is Arab. What good is it doing for you or the people you care for so much ?

Again, speaking of the UAE , unskilled workers from Bangladesh are provided so many opportunities to work and make a living. And they do have the law of the country by their side. If they are mistreated in anyway , the law will be on their side and the best thing about this whole thing , is THEY know they have the law on their side. (knowledge of this is power)

In the West ? they will not have a chance in hell to find anyone who will hire them let a lone being able to afford to fly over/accommodation/medical ....etc. zero English , zero certificates , zero education.

The UAE is a good place for them and it will be better in the years to come inshallah.

construction laws in the UAE are not to be messed with. I do see this happening a few decades ago , and definitely see it happening in some GCC states nowadays. Not the UAE though. This is a sector i work in and i know ...... The fines are extremely hefty and ends with liquidating and closing the contracting companies/consultancy offices.

And to be fair , i will let Saudis or people that work in that sector in KSA answer you since i only have good knowledge of my own country

Stop making threads about arab countries, some are very sensitive for no reason

Bhai the world is filled with bigots of every stripe.

How many will you counter in kind?

If some one does something uncivilized like trash talk people based on their background which is unchangeable, then just ignore these people.

People who bring in their personal baggage of prejudice into a conversation do not deserve to participate. I have tons of people I have ignored. You have a choice - you don't have to deal with the world's uneducated uncivilized trash.

Stop making threads about arab countries, some are very sensitive for no reason

Using the "ignore" button is a better option. It's there for a reason. The majority citizens of Arab countries are civilized people, rest you can "ignore" when they "qualify" themselves....
