In the wake of atrocities laid on their community, few Hindu Bangladesh nationals rallied yesterday in front of Trump Tower here demanding the intervention of President elect Donald J. Trump to save the non-Muslims in their country.

The rally was taken out by the Hindus from Bangladesh origin demanding that President elect Trump should save the non-Muslim populations there from the racial hands of militant Islam.

"We had voted for Mr. Trump and now we want to appraise him that the Hindus and other religious minorities in Bangladesh are routinely persecuted with no end of it in sight," Organizer Sitangshu Guha said.

"We wish President Trump do something for the sake of humanity while in office," he added.

Echoing similar sentiments, another orginizer Vincent Bruno of 'Justice for Hindus' said, "We support Mr. Trump and wish that he looks deep into the fact that how Hindus are being uprooted in Bangladesh and Pakistan."

A memorandum was sent to the Trump team which details minority persecution including the recent Brahmanbaria and Santal killings.

These are actually West Bengali Hindus who long deserted Bangladesh. They should better rally for immigrants right in USA unless they could be kicked back to 4th world West Bengal.

Why ask Trump and not Obama? Obama is the current president after all.

Why not ask your countrymen "why Hindus", in the first place? After all, they are also your brothers no? Even if they worship differently.

Hindu friendly party ruling over BD for last 8 years. Hindus presence in federal post is overwhelming and somewhat disturbing at some extent. I find it odd that these guys are complaining.

Every one of those activists from that particular FB post are Awami League activists, whom were involved in recent disturbances on minorities in BD. They seeking Trump's intervention will strengthen BD PM's power and BD will get more US support. How much more you can expect from govt perspective.
