Well you could say PSO as like military secretary, but in BD it is customery to make the waiting Chief as the PSO to the PM first. He will be 4 star(Gen) when he takes the office of Chief. He is now 3 star.

Is this "custom" described by a law or some kind of official policy, rules or regulations of the govt. or the armed forces? Or is this simply something made up? The reason I asked is because this sounds like political interference in the internal workings of a govt. institution.

Could you please tell me the names of the previous 5 CAS, the date of their appointment as CAS, what rank & where they were posted before being posted to the PSO to the PMO & the date they were posted to the PMO? Please also provide links to reputable sites so I can verify all the information & also read up on some more details.

I have'nt heard much about this practice before, but it I want to learn more about it. Thanks for the help.

Moeen retires, new chief to take over army tomorrow

General Moeen U Ahmed worked his last day today as the chief of army staff, ending his eventful job at the helm of the armed forces.

Lieutenant General Abdul Mubin is set to take over as the army chief tomorrow.

Moeen called on President Zillur Rahman at Bangabhaban this afternoon, private television ATN Bangla reports.

After meeting the president, Moeen said, "Despite many limitations, I tried my level best to serve the country. Now it's the people of the country who will evaluate my work".

On what he will do after his retirement, the army chief said he would do a job.

"Definitely I will do another job in future. But still now I have not taken any decision about what will I do," he said.

He has served his country for all these years for better or worse and unlike the Arm chair generals like u and zakir he deserves better respect; atleast from his own countrymen. He is the most incompetent self promoted general in the history of armed force. 60+ of our fine men got slaughter in day light in the time frame of 24 hrs under his watch yet he stayed ideal. This bastard sold his soul to shaitan for something unknown to us. He back stab the people that made him who he is today. He recharged the word Gaddar in modern day Bangladesh. You as a Indian showing so called respect add another notch to my inclusion. He is no man but a coward Hizra who is running away to his master but you know what they say, even dog has his day.
