Bangladesh Navy detains six robbers, rescues fishermen

The Bangladesh Navy has detained six robbers from the outer anchorage of the Chittagong port and rescued 10 fishermen from their captivity.
The Navy in a statement said their ship ‘Durjoy’ was patrolling in the Bay of Bengal on Friday evening when they heard the fishermen were taken hostage along with their boat by the robbers.
The robbers demanded Tk 200,000 as ransom.
The Navy rescued them within an hour.
