Dude,

In our part of world, earning bread and butter is the prime concern. Winning medals in Olympic in the list of priorities takes a back seat.. It's not that people are not capable but probably, the kind of resources needed to defeat the best in the field are not readily available.

lol thats because of the system, Chinese and American athletes take training for years while bangladesh sends army soldier to take part in olympic, there is no professional athlete in Bangladesh, no training facility

Someday buddy, someday. As jbond pointed out, Olympics is one of the least of our priorities at the moment.

All the runners, jumpers have already crossed .. so athletics is a tough call.

forget olympics , BD has improved leaps and bounds in cricket and their domestic structure is now far more superior to even pak and on par if not better then Srilanka !

Not only BD but across S Asia our aptitude towards sports has systematically been eroded.

Sports like Football, Archery, middle / long distance running etc would come naturally to our boys.

Ethiopia , Kenya have moved ahead while we squabble & blame ' someone ' or when all else fails we blame cricket .
