Ayo people keep fighting about a India v Bangladesh calculus here as it's the next big thing in geopolitics lol. The only comparison is how Bangladesh seemingly had an upward growth in its per capita income which India will edge out again in the next year or so.
Do people realise the folly of comparing a 171m population state with a 1.4 billion state lol? The Indian middle class is 3-4 times compared to the state of bangaldesh. The relatively undeveloped state of West Bengal has half the gdp of the entire bangaldesh.
Bangladesh's growth will be beneficial for NE states yes but it's just an ancillary factor, NE problem needs a change at the policy level.
