the only reason Balochistan is not in the main stream is because Balochistan is the politically the weakest province in Pakistan, some time ago KPK was also a Black hole when unpopular parties represented it who were not strong and now KPK is discussed today because it has become poltically important, Balochistan is the only province where there is a lack of political strength

Balochistan has been side lined because it has never made or chosen a party which can represent Balochistan interests in a powerful manner.

i think Balochistan will be kept sidelined until it politically energises..

the salvation of Balochistan is to make a party or choose a party which can represent it in a powerful way otherwise Balochistan will be kept neglected and away from national scene or main stream

if you compare the Karachi and Balochistan,

considering their respective potential, they both are blackholes.

Why

ethnic mafioso parties dominate the politics.

one bled by Altaf launderer and the other Sardar launderers.

Well if they snap out of their dynasty and feudal systems maybe they will wake up and know they have a voice and something called as rights too!

Sindh urban and Sindh rural are two separate regions if you understand the politics.

I hope you do.

I think people from all parts of country are taking interest in Dr Malik Baloch led govt, things have improved a lot in terms of visibility will drastically improve after Gwader. Baluchistan has by far most per capita potential in Pakistan and is very critical to whole country.

The amount of power or importance a state or province yield in a democracy is directly proportional to the number of MPs or in your case MNAs it sends to the center and how critical they are in formation of a government. Politics is dirty business and politicians would be happy and satisfied to hand out crumbs to lesser important provinces and moreover such provinces are also governed by corrupt leaders and bureaucrats. So actual development one see on the ground is insignificant.

Balochistan can choose a powerful party to represent them, but it all boils down to the "from where the VOTES are going to come to form a govt at center", unfortunately such states and provinces are bound to receive step motherly treatment until and unless a you have strong and progressive leader in Islamabad.

you are right but im talking about a different point here, im talking about being important, balochistan is not only neglected development wise but political wise as well, balochistan is being treated like its some colony, the reason is politics

in order for Balochistan to become relevant it has to make or choose a strong party which is a national party and who's centre of gravity is Balochistan

Baloichstan misery is not only development but first and formost its the political neglect it is suffering, Balochs must realise that when they choose a powerful party who keeps balochistan interest like PPP in Sindh, PMLN in Punjab and PTI in KPK, only then Balochistan may be taken seriously

after 18th amendment, parties who now represent provinces individually have been given a huge independent role to govern in a free way

yes thats why I think Balochistan should be given more seats according some algorithm factoring its area, geographical importance, resources etc.

abdul malick is doing better but Balochistan has a very split mandate, the Malick's party national party is restricted to south Balochistan, PKMAP rules the northern party of Balochistan, and NP is a nationalist party

Balochistan needs to realise it has to become relevant by choosing a party which is a powerful party like PPP, PMLN and PTI, but PPP will never carry balochistan interest as it is sindh centric, PMLN is punjab centric, so Balochistan will need to generate a party which can be balochistan centric but a national party as well

KPK was irrelevant but today pathans have made PTI and suddenly KPK has become important

number of seats don't matter, because KPK, Sindh doesn't have huge number of seats either, its about political representation

I think you are talking about some national level party with main roots/power center in Balochistan, for that to happen they need some leader to make that party mainstream like Bhutto, Imran (not comapring) while PMLN took the big legacy of Pakistan Muslim league from creation of Pakistan,
but still I think using the word irrelevent will be harsh every province of Pakistan is geographically very imp for country and always has been (fertile plains, hydo power, sea port etc etc)

not necessarily a leader, but a party which represents pakistan and not specific ethnic, region etc, who is playing a major national politics and have Balochistan interest in mind

balochistan always gets a mixed government, before KPK had ANP which was a regional party, and before that it had MMA which also was not a national level party, this time they have a national level party so KPK has become relevant

i think Balochs instead of supporting their regional candidates, they should make or choose a party which plays a national politics and balochistan is also a centre of gravity for their politics

Yes got your point a Baloch centric national party can have some ready made vote base (at start) in Sindh and Seraki belt of Punjab with some good marketing.
