New Delhi: European Union diplomats stonewalled requests from Pakistan’s army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, to be invited to attend a high-profile multilateral conference on the Indo-Pacific region in Paris last week, as well as a one-on-one meeting with the organisation’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell Fontelles, three diplomatic sources have confirmed to ThePrint.
General Bajwa, the sources said, also sought an invitation to the high-profile Munich Security Conference, which fell through after organisers pointed out that Pakistan’s National Security Adviser, Moeed Yusuf, was already scheduled to speak on Afghanistan.

The European Union did not respond to a request for comment from ThePrint. This report will be updated if a response is received.
Leaders from more than 30 countries in the Indian Ocean Region, including External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, attended the EU’s Indo-Pacific conference on 22 February, along with the foreign ministers of EU member states. The conference has been seen as a step towards shaping a coherent European security policy for the Indian Ocean, through which an estimated 60 per cent of its global trade transits.
Europe has faced calls to contribute more to security operations in the Indian Ocean, where only one member state, France, has a significant naval presence.

The arrogance and preceived self-importance of the fool - Bajwa knows no bounds. Good job the EU rejected him.

Musharraf’s brother a little down south in Oak Brook area. He’s married to a Filipino low class group of people, I don’t value them on the human scale dude already screwed up his Pakistani blood by mixing with that garbage.
And are you/we some elite Pakistani blood?

This arrogance is why Pakistan is such a dump. First we should look at our own state and that of our country instead of bad-mouthing other hard-working people.

Although coming from an Indian source, I very much doubt the veracity of this report, if true then I would say that nobody can fault the establishment for trying to get the Pakistani PoV on a region/forum that has implications for Pakistan's security. Hope people start realizing some of this stuff.
This is not about Bajwa, or IK or PML, it is about Pakistan's PoV.

Looks like the "establishment" in Pak is much more powerful than I initially thought. They enjoy a huge foreign support from some rich countries while controlling 80% of Pak's economy by keeping it extensively undocumented and untaxed. My guesstimate is they run a "hidden" parallel economy, twice the size of the official Pak economy, with the help of the "Sheikhs" in the GCC as they require international transactions. And, the Western Intelligence has definitely got a part in it. Add the Afgan "recreational staffs" into this equation to get a bigger picture. No wonder the official Pak economy is always struggling....

I am pretty sure the corrupt politicians like Sherifs or Zardaris are just their peons. In fact 90% of the laundered money and wealth belong to them while the so-called politicians, who are basically thugs, take the public blame. Now, how rich are they??? When the USA threatens them they always oblige for a reason. The nukes and the "Chinese connections" are their "safety" insurance for nobody trusts each other in this trade....

The road to the Hell is paved with the good intentions....
color by number
May GOD help Pak...
Money laundering by PPP criminals has historically taken place in Dubai.
