Tehrik e Taliban Chief Baitullah Mahsud was killed in a coordinated Air strike of Drone in Waziristan agency on 5th august 2009. The disputes on his succession, started immediately after his death. It was reported by sources the Taliban groups clashed on Friday 7th august on who should be successor. According to sources Hakeem ullah Mahsud and Commander Wali Al Rehman died in this clash. Interior minister has confirmed that either Wali or Hakeem ullah died in this clash but sources confirm both. Then Turkistan Bhitani, Ex friend turned in to enemy number one of Baitullah Mahsud added the information that along with Hakeem ullah and Wali al Rehman, Qari Hussein, father of Suicide bombings in Pakistan also died in the Friday clash. If thats true then nearly whole of elite leadership of TTP has died.
After death of Baitullah, Faqir Muhammad has taken charge of TTP temporarily. Faqir Muhammad is from Bajor Agency. Pakistan Armies Operation Sherdil a year ago broke the backbone of TTP Bajor. Then within Bajori Taliban Differences started emerging between TTP Bajor and TNSM Bajor. Score of operatives of both groups died in the clashes which started between them.

CLASH BETWEEN TTP AND TNSM IN BAJOR
Faqir Muhammad and his Taliban at present dont seem to be in mood /position of challenging government writ in Bajor. According to sources Bajor is calm and de-morale Taliban of TTP Bajor has become more de-morale after the death of Baitullah and Taliban elite of Waziristan.
In North Success of Army operation, Rah e Rast has broken the back bone of TTP Swat and Malakand. Shah Duran is dead, Muslim khan and Fazalullah are on the run. Sufi Muhammad is under arrest and Taliban leadership is either dead or under arrest. There are few pockets of resistance left which are being neutralized by army with the help of Police and Locals. Taliban are now hiding in Mountains. And every day score of Taliban fighters are throwing their arms and are surrendering including brain washed Suicide bombers. Army has said every thing is going as planed. First Phase of Operation has succeeded and now the second and most important Part of operation has commenced in which with help of local population remnants of Taliban fighter will be eliminated.
In south of Swat lies Bajor agency and in South of Bajor is Mohmand. There were two groups of Taliban there. Omer Khalid group belonged to banned Harkat tul Mujahideen and Shah Khalid of Lashker Touiba. Shah Khalid along with his top friends was killed in August or September 2008 by Omer Khalid group. And after intervention of Fazalur Rehman Khalil the Shah Khalid group went under ground. According to sources, in Mohmand majority area is under government control in only one or two tahsils (Sub districts) there are Taliban. With help of Government, Local tribes have formed Lashkers and are effectively pushing Taliban to north where in Bajor Army is waiting to courteously kill or arrest them. Omer Khalid has gone under ground and its matter of weeks that either he will be killed or arrested.
South of Mohmand agency lies Khyber agency. There were three main groups present their. First was Lashker e Islam of Mangal Bagh, 2nd was Ansar al Islam of Saifi group and the last was of Hakeem ullah Mahsud which was involved in terrorism in Peshawar and attacks on NATO. Last year army launched operation against Mangal Bagh and Ansar ul Islam operating from Bara and Valley of Tearah. Mangal baghs group is enemy of Mahsud TTP thats why government showed some leniency but his group started kidnapping for ransom and came out of his limits on which government restarted an operation few months back. At present Mangal Bagh and his Lashker is on run hunted by Government. Ansar ul Islam was reaction to Deobandi Fanaticism Pir Saiful Rehman Saifi is now hiding and his group is under control. Safi group belonged to Brelvi school of thought and his group was the only Brelvi militant group.
After the death of Hakeem ullah the third and the deadliest group of Taliban is quite and sources say after the death of its main leadership, soon the group will collapse as there is no one big like Hakeem ullah to bind them together. Death of Hakeem ullah will be advantage to Mangal Bagh group who may take it as a blessing to take revenge from Mahsud TTP.
South of Khyber is Kurram agency. The beautiful valley of Kurram is Battle ground between Shia and Sunni. Hakeem ullah was commanding TTP kurram. Where as Iranian Pasdaran was giving money to Shias. Unfortunately both Shias and Sunnies have learned nothing from history. They use religion to gain interests. I think after death of Hakeem ullah government should now make sure that groups killing Shia and Sunni Muslims should be brought under control. I think Hakeem ullahs death has brought big chance for peace. Tribal elders should come out and leave petty religious differences and unite on Allah, Prophet and Quran.
East of Kurram is Aurak zai Agency. According to Sources, Hakeem ullah Mahsud was commanding TTP chapter there. On Friday after the death of Hakeem ullah Mahsud, news started coming that Hake mullahs second in Command also died. At present the whole top brass of TTP Aurak zai is believed to have gone to SWA and there is peace in the agency. After the killing of Top brass in the clash on Friday it is expected that movement has suffered big loss.
South of Kurram agency is North Waziristan agency. The main groups operating in NWA are Waziri Alliance and Mollana Sadiq Noon Dawar of TTP. Both these commanders are out laws. Gul Bahader in Past was considered as Pro Government Taliban leader due to American and western propaganda, which was based on the fact Pakistan was fighting TTP and Waziri alliance which is also enemy of TTP was silent. And secondly because Molvi Nazir in south started operation against Uzbeks and other foreigners which government wanted. This propaganda was proved wrong when both Molvi Nazir and Gul Bahader came out as anti Pakistan thugs. Gul Bahader facilitated TTP men to kidnap Cadets of Razmak College. Then the deadliest ambush against Security forces was laid in North Waziristan by his men this year. Since then Army has cordoned NWA and SWA from all sides and Gul Bahader and his group is also getting hell of a beating by Security forces. Hafiz Gul Bahader and Molvi Nazir formally entered in Alliance with TTP few months ago. The new Alliance was named as ITTIHAD SHURA AL MUJAHIDEEN and Gul Bahader was chosen as a head. At present Gul Bahader is dreaming to be as head of TTP which is expected to be challenged by Mahsud and DAWAR tribes.
South of NWA is SWA. The two big names were Molvi Nazir and Baitullah Mahsud. Baitullah is dead so is his Main deputies like Qari Hussein, Hakeem Ullah Mahsud and Wali ur Rehman Mahsud. Molvi Nazir is now dominant commander. Nazir is a big enemy of Baitullah. At present he is Quite but he will come out open to support Gul Bahader when time will come.
Rest of Areas where Taliban were strong is getting cleared by forces. Dara Adam Khel was domain of Al Qaeda (Lashker e Jhungvi) and TTP commanded by Hakeem ullahs deputies. Army operation has broken the back bone of Taliban.
Hangu and Dera Ismael Khan which saw Shia Sunni clashes are quite now. After the death of Qari Hussein, Hakeem ullah and Baitullah, government forces will now easily root out religious fanatics there.
At present situation is confusing. TTP is saying that Baitullah and his deputies are not dead. But the news coming out of tribal areas proves that the news is true. Taliban leadership is trying to reach SWA. This movement confess that some thing big has happened.
Pakistan has been given a big advantage by Almighty. Now its Governments responsibility to destroy the root causes of TALIBAN insurgency. Which are lack of education, poverty and bad governance. These people are Pakistanies we must educate them, give them economic opportunities and try to bring them in national main stream.
