However, the use of precision guided ammunition directed to specific points by advanced fire control teams has been hinted at, as a departure from common practice. The other two parts were what you called, to my helpless amusement, the IA firing off its soon-to-be-obsolete ammunition, and the customary penetration by commando squads. Regarding the commando squad actions, it was denied that any casualties had occurred.

It was conveyed that the jawan captured was part of a support team on the LOC, which was itself surprised and ambushed and the jawan taken prisoner.
