Azerbaijan has set up positions in Naxchivan overlooking the highway between Yerevan to Lachin.

Ignore the bs headline and biased reporting. It was the only source in English I could find.

It should give Azerbaijan a good position to monitor traffic heading towards Karabagh and if war did break out then it would provide a strategic advantage over the main supply route towards the Lachin corridor from Yerevan.
