Accident for a tiltrotor Finmeccanica - AgustaWestland AW609 . The aircraft, according to the first official news, crashed on the morning of Friday, October 30th in a field of corn in Santhià in Tronzano, in the province ofVercelli . On board the aircraft experimental party by the establishment of Vergiate , there were two occupants, both killed on impact. The aircraft caught fire after the crash.
The tiltrotor AW609 (brands N609AG) according to the locals, was conducting maneuvers in the area for several days. The aircraft, hybrid ofhelicopter and aircraft , fell in a suburban area, between fields.
Some witnesses reported having heard a roar before the crash, followed by falling debris.
