Attack on security forces' camp kills six in S Waziristan

PESHAWAR: At least four militants were killed during an attack on a security forces' camp which claimed the lives of two soldiers and wounded nine others in South Waziristan tribal region early on Tuesday.

Four militants attacked a security forces' camp using heavy weaponry in Sara Rogh are of South Waziristan tribal region.

Security personnel engaged in retaliatory firing killing three attackers whereas the fourth militant detonated a suicide vest he was wearing and blew himself up.

Security sources said that two soldiers were killed in the attack and nine others sustained injuries.

The attack was carried out by militants of the outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), according to TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid.

The attacks come after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif offered dialogue to "armed militants" last week.

The talks were welcomed by the Punjabi Taliban following which the TTP expelled the head of the Punjabi Taliban over the decision.

Good grief! India is ready to fight Pakistan because 5 Indian soldiers were killed by some thugs wearing Pak Army uniform. Here we try Musharef for treason but are still divided about how to deal with “Enemies of the State” who attack GHQ, PAF Kamra and PNS Mehran, destroy irreplaceable national assets; continuously attack & kill hundreds of army jawans? We should take action against the terrorists. These attacks by the militants are becoming extremely common. We need to stop the attacks and finish them off. This attack coincides with the recent attack on a Taliban commander which succeeded in eliminating the said militant.

Perhaps the Pakistan army is begining to form up a new strategy for the eradication of terrorists which means giving them a taste of their own medicine. We need to eliminate terrorists before they can pose a massive threat to us. I am glad that atleast a number of militants were killed in the attack.

The Taliban is the most brutal militant group ever seen in this region and we need to target Hakimullah Mehsud specifically who is the chief of the Pakistani Taliban. Instead our forces have regularly targetted innocent civilians and nearly framing them on false charges.

All I want to see is my country to succeed against the terrorists and eliminate those Talibani bastards. Hell, maybe thats too much to ask for.

Agree 100%. Indeed we should and we must if Pakistan has to progress. But what would you say to the bigots of JI who would welcome a Talibanized Pakistan?

PTI runs KPK; most affected by the Taliban atrocities; and had 2 of their MPA assassinated by TTP. Nevertheless, despite having very intelligent persons such as Asad Omer in their ranks; PTI followers still don't consider Taliban their enemies!

Rana Sana Ullah, the biggest hypocrite among the PML-N, still vociferously defends his butcher LEJ & SSP friends of South Punjab. Karachi condition is even worse.

Even though a DSP was killed and GEO TV has video footage showing one of the accused firing at the police. I heard that DIG said in the court that Safari Park incident was a drama and the 6 people apprehended are innocent. Obviously Safari park thugs have PPP backing.

Every Karachiite knows that Uzair Baluch is uncrowned King in Layari and a law unto himself but would PPP Gov’t dare to take any action against him? Only good thing one can say about MQM is that they are not religious bigots.
