ATOMIC BOMBING OF HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI

. . .
and they say only hitler was evil. boody hypocrites.

The desire was the unconditional surrender of Japan. Washington wanted to control the fate of Japan for the next 100 years, so they dropped two nukes on Japan. It was never about ending the war or saving lives, it was about to get the unconditional surrender of Japan without dropping nukes would cost more lives.

The existing UN and world disorder is still discriminatory against Germany, Italy and Japan. Even after 70 years+.

The only reason the world is not totalitarian is because in large part to China being on the Security Council. Russia to a less extent. Otherwise it would be monolithic and brutal.

Saving lives was one aspect of the decision to drop atomic bombs on Japan. Remember, how ferociously the Japanese fought the US at every turn. One can only imagine the casualties if there was an actual invasion of Japan.

The other aspect was to show the Soviet Union that the West has the bomb. It wanted to prevent the Soviet Union from having any ideas.

The historian David Irving interviewed th director of the Manhattan project and asked him for the reason of the bombing. The reply he got was that the reason was to test the A-bomb. The two towns were chosen because they were pristine and undamaged by the war, so all damage to them would be caused by the atomic weapons and nothing else.

The bombing had nothing to do with the war.

Those nukes were supposed to be for Germany. However they surrendered in May 1945 just before they got them working. So they were used instead in August against Japan.

The americans killed more japs by fire bombing tokyo than the combined nucear bomb
The bomb was used to break the spirit of japanese people and its rulers which it did.

People have to keep in mind back then Japan was more fanatical than North Korea is today. The whole country down to the last woman and child was happily prepared to die for Hirohito.

Japan was fanatical (and foolish) enough to attack USA first, and paid the price for its folly.

Interesting...and who put China on UNSC?...it was US .... At that time China was a developing country, had large population and was fully controlled/dependent on the West..so per West, was the best choice to represent Asia whilst being operating in UNSC on the behalf of West....
