This caretaker PM and govt is a stupid idea to begin with.

The Election Commission must be so powerful that when elections are announced, it takes over the administrative duty and the sitting govt. has no jurisdiction over it. If elections go on every five years, we will run out of options for caretaker govt.

The postings and transfers that the sitting govt does on personal favor must be abolished and a strict system of merit be in place so that any corrupt politician cant pick and choose administrative set up of his own choice.

Similarly there should be clear provisions that governors or president must be without political affiliation.

The way the current set up is, its a case of pre-polling rigging.

Before elections Nawaz Sharif wish to get rid of accusation that he has relations with TTP that's why he has given her name ... I think what the height of his hypocrisy that he has given the name of such lady who has been damning to SC for its some decisions ... While he shows to himself that he is the biggest supporter of independent judiciary ..

Why is there a caretaker goverment? Can't the election commission or the bureaucracy manage operations while elections are on? Or is it in the constitution that a caretaker government has to be present during elections? Will this not be a problem before every elections?
