An encounter between terrorists and a police team started in Gusoo area of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning.
A militant was killed in an encounter with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama. An Army personnel, who was injured in the encounter, has succumbed to his injuries. Another security personnel is said to have sustained injuries. He has been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
According to reports, a joint team of Police and Army's 53 Rashtriya Rifles laid a cordon-and-search operation in Gusso area of Pulwama.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering an encounter. A soldier and a policeman were injured during the encounter.
