KARACHI: Hours after at least 45 people belonging to Ismaili community were killed in an attack on a bus, Pakistan’s Army Chief General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday vowed to bring the culprits behind the carnage to justice at all costs.
The statement was made during a telephonic conversation of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) with head of the Ismaili community, Prince Karim Aga Khan.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Gen Raheel also vowed to take facilitators and sympathizers of the terrorists to their logical conclusion.
General Raheel Sharif, who flew to Karachi shortly after the carnage, held telephonic conversation with the spiritual leader of the Ismaili community and assured him culprits would be brought to justice.
"Our heart goes out for the bereaved families," said an ISPR press release issued here.
He said, no efforts would be spared to apprehend and punish perpetrators of this terrorist act, their abettors and backers.
