Army chief visits TTTI at Gazipur

DHAKA, Sept 4, 2012 (BSS)- Chief of the Army General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan, psc, today paid a visit to the Trust Technical Training Institute (TTTI) in Gazipur Cantonment.
Gen Bhuiyan also went through theoretical and practical classes run by the institute and exchanged views with trainees and trainers on the training being imparted in the TTTI.
On his arrival there, principal of the TTTI Lt Col Md Asadur Rahman Khan, psc (Retd) briefed the Army Chief on different activities and future plans of the institute.
During his visit, the Army chief conveyed his keen interest on the driving village of the TTTI and expressed his satisfaction over the introduction the new training system for the trainees of driving course under Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory (BMTF).
During the training on driving in the driving village, the trainees are apprised of all sorts of road signs, symbols, signals and road marking as well as their practical applications.
It is hoped that road accidents will be reduced significantly with the expansion of the horizon of theoretical and practical knowledge of the drivers on the aforesaid subjects. Establishment of such a driving village is also a noteworthy success of the TTTI.
Earlier on his arrival at the TTTI Complex, the Army Chief was received by Adjutant General of the Army and chairman of the TTTI Governing Board Major General Ashraf Abdullah Yussuf, rcds, afwc, psc and the principal of the institute, according to a press release of the ISPR.
