What's new

Argentina's "Trump" Milei wins presidential election

It seems that the Jews have become the scapegoat, blamed in every case.

Well, they are scapegoating everyone first.

People are assuming it's their media.

But it turns out if you ask Jewish people on the street, they have the same opinion as what their media say.

They hate you first, and they hate you more.

People of God? People of hateful! So evil!!!

This guy sounds like those zionist cockcuskcer who would sell their country for corporations.
Dunno why the right wingers are celebrating.
Because libertarians are retarded. Never underestimate the stupidity of a libertarian.

People are still trapped with the Cold War mentality.

Clouded by the name instead of looking at the mechanism.

This is probably one of the main reasons why so many countries are failing.

Because a name is not magic, but how you approach reality and come up with a solution and creativity to solve the problem is the real magic.

Argentina is a democracy and capitalist country.

And it's failing.

But you know we can't see it that way.
Argentina is failing for a wide variety of reasons including poor governance, corruption and mismanagement. Capitalists in Argentina are leaving due to this, that's why the public got fed up and elected a new President. Unconventional but what options they had? Although the larger reason for it is living beyond means, that is unnecessary government spending on welfare you maintain it through heavily taxing the rich, but what happens when the rich leave for greener pastures? You have a crisis.

All previous governments in Argentina made welfare a priority, the problem with relying too much on welfare, is the people don't really work to live comfortably. They live to make barely enough and thinks the government will take care of the rest.

I remember I was a libertarian back in the 2000s John Paul phase, man, muh NAP and private owned nukes.

Turns out they all just decide to shill for corporations. Disappointing.

Why is that surprising? Libertarianism naturally leads to a corporatocratic dystopia and corporations are neither elected by the people nor are they for the people. Unless there's a strong regulating body keeping things in check, corporations will find every opportunity to screw the people. This is why I always advocate for a powerful government. The government should always be the most powerful entity in a state.

Yes, I'm glad I realize this back in the 2010s.

I am suspecting previous guys took bribes from Chinese business interests
Do you have proof or you are just being like sleazy and jealousy typical Indians usually when it comes to China ?

His election is just a sign of the level of desperation Argentinians feel.

But I have serious doubts he will make meaningful change.

Socialist and communist always destroy nations economy. Look at Indian subcontinent nations. All of they are either semi-communist or socialist (Pakistan is socialist/religious hybrid).

Until Modi came India was going full throttle socialist. Modi got capitalism going with socialism basically money via taxes and reducing ways to corruption and spending after poor. As soon as congress is back India will be back to corruption and full freebies shit which now congress have learn from Kejriwal.

So, I say good for Argentina for electing this guy. And as @nahtanbob pointed out more and more nations are realizing doing business with China is loss making adventure. Many nations still do because there is no alternative yet not because they desire or the rulers are corrupt and pockets are filled by China.

Yeah, they should start doing business massively with the la la land, like trading cow dungs.

He is probably backed by CIA. Which will make him fearless. And this guy was a rock star. I'm not sure but I know big part of rock stars have using drug history. I'm not confident to his rationality.

He isn’t rational. He’s a moron.

But anyways, he’s going to be mired in real world problems during his term and then the electorate will probably swing back to the left. This always happens in South America.

What is the problem if he wants to destroy Argentina? The media is under US control anyway. Ever thought the possibility that he is Zelensky2.0? Who sold his country to US at any cost? Both of them are CIA's puppets.

That’s why I don’t get the people here who are depicting this as some huge blow to China or the brics. Argentina is literally a basketcase. It’s like losing Zimbabwe as an ally. It’s not a country that can offer any help, it’s just a beggar for handouts.

The real problem is the CCP and Chinese culture of making everything opaque to avoid criticism.

Earlier this month, Mondino said Argentina had no problem trading with Brazil, and as for China, Milei would seek to end opaque state-to-state deals.

I wonder what he is referring to

sour grapes since he threw you under the bus :enjoy:
