they did some up-gradation of the stadium but we still need to make world class football stadiums

heard Argentina's coming to Karachi is it true?

Nopes..from kolkata they have left for bangladesh today for a friendly with Nigeria.

they were supposed to leave on the 2nd september itself, but the organising officials were not satisfied with the ground quality and the arrangements in bangladesh thus, the team stayed in India for two more days and left today, just before the match.

It is not management or ground quality. They cancelled their training session cause it was scheduled in Naraynganj Fotulla Stadium which is outside Dhaka and Argentina coach didnt like this tiring journey by road. .

there were so much misarrangement in India. . I was biting my tongue in shame as south asian when they said national anthem of Argentina was going to be played and instead they played venezuela's anthem . . Argentinians were also not happy with the field. . They forgot to water them before match. There was load shedding during press meeting. . Venezuela's coach left the press briefing angrily.. Messi did not come to the press. . There were a lot of mess. And i am worried now about Bangladesh. May Allah help us to manage everything well.

oh yeah police were busy taking photograps of Messi through cell phone . . That looked odd

Checked Salt Lake Stadium ... is it the 2nd biggest in the world!!...heard some calcutta based celebrity management group brought them down to asia...people wud have loved an india argentina match though ... guess they cancelled it fearing a 100 - 0 score for args...

Karachi?? no way..we cannot risk Messi's life.

Then you'd be wise not to send Messi to Mumbai or New Delhi aswell. ;)
Who knows some lunatics might seize and bomb the hotel the Argentinians are staying at, including Messi.

Next time, don't be so hypocritical.

As for staying on-topic, it's a shame that thatse big football teams did not go to Pakistan, but it's understandable, only our government to blame for the security situation in certain areas.

It's good for the development of soccer/football in south east asia though!

Generally that doesnt happen that way. Argentina team can easily pump 12-15 goal to any South Asian team, but I doubt in a friendly they would be so severe against the host. In 80s many top European team used to come in India in Nehru Cup. We have seen full streangth Soviet Union team (with Mikhailichenko), Uruguay (with Francescoli) etc. But it is said Soviet government used to give strict instruction to their players not to score too many goals against India. :D
