It is really a new and very unique phenomenon that has started in recent years, the two examples that immediately come in my mind are fake military strikes of Indian air force in Balakot Pakistan and India claimed that these strikes killed hundreds of "militants" when in reality only few trees there were damaged by that Indian fake military strike.

And now Iran has done a fake military strike with missiles on an American base in Iraq, again Iran also claim that the "strike" has killed dozens of "American soldiers", but we know that no American soldiers was harmed in that strike, so it was also another example of fake military strike.

I think "fake military strikes" have become "real" phenomena!

When I was a child we use to have story maker in village. When ever I had summer vocations I visited my village and at night the story teller will come and tell stories of great warriors from past.

It is not a new phenomenon just that now a days every one has access to the story teller.

You are wrong. Ours were not strikes. We showed deterrence and resolve.

There is a lot of difference in what we did and rest of them did.

USA. Did an assassination
Iran. Took revenge
India. Did politics

And we did it with tea.

it is political maneuvering. While the leaders convince the population that we are enemies and should hate each other (just in case a war ever happens, it makes it easier to take a human life), behind the scenes, they work through back channels.

When the US launched cruise missiles at a Syrian airbase, we warned the Russians, knowing the would warn the Syrians, which is why there was little damage.

Iran warned Iraq, knowing they would tell the US, that the missiles were coming. They also aimed them at empty parts of the base. This was so they could save face with the population, without risking a suicidal war. Both sides can claim victory to their people, and we move a step back from the brink, at least for now.
