Are Muslims the new Tamils of Sri Lanka ?

First the Buddhist sinhalese played out the frustration against Tamils. Now the next targets are Sri Lankan Muslims (Who are predominantly Tamil Speaking of course).
The problem will take a new shape if they dont contain their new found victory feeling,

indeed it seems that felling of victory is too overwhelming for them.The north of Sri Lanka today is a spectacle of Sinhalese triumphalism. A victorious army is rebuilding new roads, grabbing land for itself and displaying the spoils of war before tourists from the south.Tamils on the other hand feel humiliated by the scale of the defeat,Its not just the military defeat,but because the way LTTE has betrayed them towards the end.LTTE used human shield tactics so that there will be huge civilian casualties and the international community would be forced to intervene.Now even the magnanimous gestures by SL Govt toward the Tamil people, by building new infrastructure projects, for instance, the Tamils seem to feel that their defeat is being rubbed in their faces.Now they are doing same thing with Muslims.

I have to agree. Even in final stages of the war, if the army had moved slowly and carefully, plenty of lives could have been saved. The conflict at maximum could have extended another 2 months. But they didnt care about the lifes, and attacked blindly. Not though LTTE played the angel. It also had its part.
The places where Tamils were massacred are now put as a Tourist places. Any function requiring large number of people like marriage, coming of age functions require army permission .
Tamil were a localized problem with pressure mainly from TN, and Tamils present in the west. But the Muslims will seek the support of all Arab states, who will be more than ready to help, if the Sinhalese dont nip the problem in the bud itself.

I have to agree. Even in final stages of the war, if the army had moved slowly and carefully, plenty of lives could have been saved. The conflict at maximum could have extended another 2 months. But they didnt care about the lifes, and attacked blindly. Not though LTTE played the angel. It also had its part.

Arab states dont giv sh&t. And muslims are an insignificant minority in Sri-Lanka, there has not been even a murmur of protest from our Pak brothers regarding this. If the Sinhalese majority have any conscience they would isolate these extremist monks and start treating their citizens more humanely.

Arab states dont giv sh&t. And muslims are an insignificant minority in Sri-Lanka, there has not been even a murmur of protest from our Pak brothers regarding this. If the Sinhalese majority have any conscience they would isolate these extremist monks and start treating their citizens more humanely.

They wont murmer anything, such policy dont suit them. Hell they wont condemn any violence against Muslims in China, forget about Lanka. They will register protest when it suits them.
Even India too does the same sometimes.
Its just its the starting point. It havent reached a situation right now. It can still be controlled. Buddhist Sinhalese are riding a victory wave of triumphalism. If they get out of hand, if govt does nothing, then it will become a problem.
A video or two of SL problems by Muslims themselves and terrorist orgs will stand in Q to come to Lanka. THese orgs are always looking for problems in other countries.

Sometimes I wish Pakistan would become a strong country which accepts Muslims from around the world as their citizens, so if such a thing would happen, at least, they would know, there is a state in this world which they can go to and call it home.

There isn't violence against Muslims in SL, There is a facebook debate though between Sinhalese and muslims. . Fashion bug incident is regarding some rape case and person who involved in that incident who was a Muslim had arrested, also the people who get involved in attacking that store got arrested. (including 3-4 monks.)

True,perhaps the fear of western intervention might have been the reason they rushed the operation.The story of Srilankan Tamils is so sad.Its hard to say who caused more damage to them LTTE or Sri Lankan Govt.

Nah,Arab states don't give a damn.Arab dictators don't have the compulsions of vote bank politics, and they don't care much about Human rights either,Just look at the what's happening to Rohingyas.Does it looks like they give a damn.It will as usual will be west.Even India may do more here on their behalf compared to Arabs.

there is no problem between Sinhalese and muslims..it was a Facebook war started by few teenages and then a gang attacked a shop..No one got killed or anything and the suspects were arrested...bodu bala sena doesn`t represent at least 5% of Sinhalese and its more like EDL in England...Its popularity sinked during last month and even if you go to their FB page , you`ll see that they have only 7000 odd likes..Sinhalese FB pages that are against Bodu Sena are more popular ! ...After killing Sinhalese and Muslims for 30 years , this is another attempt by tamils , specially from Toilet Nadu to exaggerate things

There are far more severe racial attacks in England and EDL is far more racist than BBS..BBS is a gang of fake buddhist monks that are trying to get popular and they are given a good advertising by Toilet nadus and few indians coz they allways try to throw mud at SL...All that BBS did is posting few racist posts on Facebook and attacking a muslim owned shop where a Sinhaese girl got raped a week before..Not defending BBS at all but tamils and Indians are trying to make a huge deal out of this and coz they failed in their last attempt(2009)
