Superstitions are not religious beliefs & vice versa.

This episode has created a lot of bad feelings in power corridors in Pindi & Islamabad. The way this present regime's ministers are insisting that there is no problem, makes observors believe that in fact there are problems. Why else would there be a need to insist on a non-issue?

Also, may the generals do their actual jobs & not play politics. If this present debacle does not teach them something, then what else can?

The various Private channels and now the so called Journalist on Youtube , are only doing one thing
spreading confusion on national level stuff

Government need to clamp down on Private Channels and Youtube Journalism , which goes to publication with no proof required

Although that I am amused with a feeling of "serves them right"; however, I am also inclined to make 2 observations:

1. Should the PM not have the final say in all matters? Imran Khan, Geelani, any PM, even Nawaz Sharif.......and then should the public support a defiant organization which keeps breaking the oath and the constitution of Pakistan?
2. Should the PM get involved in matters related to the internal workings of the Army, how can the PM judge candidates for any post merely by conducting interviews whereas the Army Chief has much better knowledge of the capabilities and competence of the officers serving under his command.

And then I reach the conclusion that there is no shame in adopting the processes of successful countries.

Anyone taking counsel from jinns/aliens and doing away with the Devine guidance gonna regret it dearly like that Jewish king who after failing to seek guidance from the Almighty through a ritual equivalent to the Islamic istikhaara for combating a pagan enemy standing right at the door steps of the holy land out of extreme desperation or lets say to save his throne went to a witch ,who herself had just done with repenting and putting all other witches to death ,asking her to raise the soul of i think Prophet Sameul so that he could get his advice -------.

she was eventually forced into doing abracadabra and "bringing" the Prophet's soul back on earth who in turn reprimanded the king and told him that by tomorrow afternoon you and your family will be joining us and scene.

One may ask why The Lord didn't answer his call/showed the right path ? It's because when people crosses a certain threshold in disobeying Allah Swt He Himself hands them over to the demons to have their ways with them . Like for example we are connected with this reality called earthly realm as a trial and are meant to serve Allah Swt adhering to the human bounds until the Angel of death shows up so if anyone of us develops this escapist mentality of bypassing the Divinely dictated Abrahimic way for directly "breaking into" the Heavens/Samavaat via gnostic/sufi traditions , yoga and other methods of global occult sciences then he's been made to experience anything and all by the demons but an actual astral travel ------- close your eyes and boom!

I mean these Practices aren't even allowed in obligatory prayers for the sake of attaining a matured form of spirituality ,that is to say being conscious of the matter and metaphysics simultaneously while purposefully avoiding the state of hallucination in the name of achieving redemption ------.

So beware when The Prophet Saww himself never asked anything from jins not even delivering a message to anyone other than teaching them about the final revelation and the same Prophetic Sunnah was upheld in the Karabala by Imam Hussain A.s when he was approached by a believer jin offering him help against the yazeed army . Imam turned down his request and went on to face the consequences like a true servant of The Almighty.

So since when did we start to involve jinns into our matters? People develop blood feuds over a dead saint telling them so and so person casted a spell upon them . They get people murdered with their phoney explanations/blatant lies claiming to be this and that saintly figure while on the contrary plenty of us are aware of the circumstances where Sharia allows lying and one of those is to make peace between two believers ------ @Muhammed45 @Verve @jamahir @Blacklight @fitpOsitive

From a purely human perspective I agree with you. Wonderful writing. And this section :

It reminds me of a recent article. A Canadian woman was sleeping on her bed when she heard a loud noise and saw a rock on a pillow on the bed and a hole in the roof. She complained to the police who asked a building project near to her house if somehow that rock had ejected itself from their work. They said no and said that they had seen booms in the sky and a bright light. That rock turned out to be an asteroid piece / meteorite. She said that the rock appearing out of nowhere could have killed her instantly even in the safety of her home and she said that she from now on won't take life for granted.

I marvel at your maturity, sir.

Wise men learn from others' mistakes: Q-e-A M. A. Jinnah.

Normal people learn from their mistakes.

Madmen keep repeating their mistakes, thinking that the results would be different: paraphrasing Einstein here.

Its as though Pakistan is being run by madmen. But there is a method to the madness, which seems to be to continue with it. Why? Because the status quo is very precious to some.

Your first question is very pertinent. IK wants to keep the current DG ISI because he has been very useful to him. Also, he would make a very friendly COAS. Moreover, since two terms for COAS is becoming something of a custom, PTI may enjoy 15 years in power, at least. It also provides a way to rise to power & hang on to it via ISI. So, though PM ought to make key decisions, this one is fraught with serious conflict of interest. What would happen to the army & its remaining professionalism? Would the blue-eyed favorite sons be posted on to ISI position that manages politics, hoping to become a 2 term COAS after obliging yet another joker with a shot at post of PM? So, in principle, I would stand behind the PM here, but since I can guess why he is ruffling his feathers, I would actually dissent here.

The second question is a key question. The answer to it lies in another question: should the most powerful agency in Pakistan continue to work with opacity & without any mechanism of oversight? Clearly, the present set-up has resulted in multiple failures - undermining of the constitution & civil institutions. So, why should ISI continue to function as it does? A follow-up question also merits attention: why shouldn't ISI report to a minister, instead of COAS? Obviously this can not happen because ISI came into being with a purpose & ought to remain focused on it and not bother with managing politics.

The simple answer is to create a civilian organization with manpower & resources that ISI currently commands & task it to deal with matters of security external to the state & beyond the ambit of borders (Army's focus). IB can continue doing what it does and act as FBI does in USA. You may recall that it was IB which provided taped conversation of DG ISI Zaheer-ul-Islam to NS, who then confronted COAS Raheel Sharif in 2014.

Pakistan must become a normal country. Its obsession with security & apotheiosis of COAS is killing it slowly but surely. This is a question of prime importance for Pakistan's survival.

PS> The PM may well get his way - but those who know how to get their way, always do. In this present case, if IK gets his way, some would find a way to frustrate his future designs. There are too many variables here for me to make a forecast. I fear that any which way one leans, the result is going to be highly unpleasant. the most I can say is that if Pakistan learns to stick to the constitution, then that would be a good thing.

And continue it shall. Let it be known.

Dear Sir, evolution has its own momentum. It cares for none.

I hope this episode teaches the value of constitution to those who have always undermined it.

In Pakistan, having nothing to report; comes the religious point to spice up things. Having said that, leave to the authorities and there's not need for such kind of brownie points merely to make it more controversial. Please avoid such low quality title & content which in-fact never leads to some quality discussion. Saying Religion; indeed the state is not going to appoint some extremist or Natan Yahu on such post.
