Apple introduces iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max with 5G

Macintosh mocked Windows security issues for decades in 90s, and early 2000s. Hackers has little interest on Macintosh until more and more Macintosh sold.

iOS is semi open source OS, it base on Unix. I tend to believe open source Android is safer.
Android cellphone is not as safe as iOS, not because of the OS, but the ecosystem. Google is loose on Google Play, and there are many 3rd party App Store. Also you can install APK all by yourself.
While you can't do that on iOS.

Also, most of the users who like to customize OS will choose Android. While iOS users seldom change the OS, they just use it, like using a feature phone. All they did just install App from Apple Store, and that's it.

OS vs OS is one thing. Android users habit vs Apple users habit is another thing.

Yes. And when Huawei OS come everyone will dump Apple and go to Huawei . But china must be generous and not hack our phones. I think it will be enough to warn us to not irritate CCP else, we may feel severe consequences in mobile phone.

Indeed as you pointed out - Apple provide better security as an ecosystem. Android is like a sandbox in which customers/users can play as they wish and numerous application developers have access to its source code but Apple is into making things secure for its customer base to the extent possible (limited autonomy granted to customers/users and even application developers by extension).

Some customers/users understand security considerations much better than the others - they are able to secure their smartphones to the extent possible (but how secure would you be with 3rd Party applications?). Average joe does not care much and/or lacking in awareness. Apple understand this dynamic very well.

Google itself have strong security but the company was being careless about securing Android experience. Although Android 11 is being hyped to offer good security to potential users. Let us see.

One of the main reasons people buy Apple products is because they work. Remember the days of futzing with Windows Safe mode because some software you installed or deinstalled borked some driver or config file? Never happens on a Mac.

Same with IOS they limit third parties from screwing up the system. People are still using 10+ year old iPhones.
