Anti-peace elements behind blasts in K-P not TTP: Imran Khan

By Our CorrespondentPublished: October 20, 2013

DI KHAN:
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has not taken responsibility for the three major attacks in Peshawar, stated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan during his visit to DI Khan on Saturday.

Imran was there to offer condolences for slain lawmaker Israrullah Gandapur who was killed alongside nine others in a suicide blast in his hujra in Kulachi, 45 kilometres from DI Khan, on Wednesday.

The PTI chief pinned the blame on elements allegedly against the non-starter negotiation process between the state and TTP. Talking to journalists in Kulachi during his visit to the house of the deceased Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Imran stipulated those against peace talks are responsible for such attacks in K-P.

If the TTP did not take responsibility of the attacks, if the TTP washed their hands off the attacks, then someone else must be behind these incidents, argued the PTI chief.

Discussing the decision taken in an all-parties conference (APC) after general elections, Imran pointed out the dialogue process would be easier if the Taliban were permitted to open an office. All the major political parties have given the federal government “a green signal” to pursue talks with the banned group but, Imran claimed, his party is yet to be informed of developments made towards this effort.

“Those who support the war against the TTP call me a coward,” said the party head. “Then the nation needs to know what main objectives were achieved in a nine-year-long war against militancy.”

The K-P government has formulated a new security plan and policy, shared Imran. The PTI is also the first party leading the province which has raised its voice for talks with the Taliban, he claimed. However, earlier in February, the Awami National Party had also called for an APC which agreed to negotiate with the Taliban.

“It is now up to the centre to devise a plan to launch peace talks with the Taliban.” In addition to his rank as PTI chairman, Imran is also the MNA for NA-56 Rawalpindi-VII.

True, its difficult being a Peace lover among all these war-mongers.

When Taliban targeted ANP leaders, they blamed Imran Khan saying that ANP is being targeted because they are against Taliban, and Imran Khan is taliban Khan because they accused PTI to have appeasement policy.

Now we are being attacked, who do you think it could be? Taliban or someone who dont want Peace in the region?

TTP doesnt exist at all! Its just the name used in media under which most of the terrorism occurs! And some selected people given the name of TTP leader, spokesperson etc are just shown in some videos! Rest they dont exist! Terrorism in the name of TTP! So peace talks with TTP means talking with an invisible entity lol :p:

It is not my husband who is responsible for this act but an anti-wife element is behind it!!.

Personally I think war never was , is or will be the solution to this problem. Heck the US recognised it why cant our own countrymen. The more carnage and bomb blasts you have the more the flight of capital and the poorer you will be. My 2paisas worth.

Sir, Even if we make deal with them than for how long you think it will last? Same leadership can summon their soldiers anytime they want --- So, these negotiation means that state shouldn't question them in future and let them do what they want (i.e. what they did in sawat) otherwise deal will be cancelled, I don't find any feasibility in this other than deferring threat for time being or if Pakistan is ready to embrace "Shriah". US's example don't fit here as they are sitting 1000s miles away on other hand TTP leadership have to live among us with their p!ggy faces.

negotiation are done so that ttp would lay down arm and not for the purpose that they can keep the arms and areas under them

so don't deliberately mix things

Laying arms is not enough, they have to go through a debriefing, we'd like to know the places where they under gone training, there infrastructure, there intelligence network, there partners in or around security agencies, there finances, most of above their objective?

Dude either you guys are so naive or you are part of it.

yo don't get it through your thick head don't you i have replied to you three times on this ask khaki *** kyani to stop sitting on evidence of foreign involvement and mentioning it like a small time phenomena in his "golden speeches"

and where is it said that ttp will be let go away without "de briefing"

don't be "deeth" like anp,ppp and mqm and tell naive general to not to agree in APC on first place just to give impression that he respects political parties view and later blap to prime minister and others that your APC decision was wrong
