Anti Muslim riots are igniting across Sri Lanka.

For now the areas affected are Kuliyapitiya, Hettipola, Bingiriya Dummalasuriya Rasnayakapura & Kobeigane.

Curfew has been imposed after a few mosques were hit.

By most reports its the christians who are attacking the mosques.

News is that 3 Mosques that were attacked, more images.

Early morning attack on 3 mosques, there was also an attack on the puvella village last night carried out by some groups. Shops of some Muslim traders in Karantippala were ransacked as well.

Images from a protest that gathered as a result of inaction by the administration as threats of the attacks were released hours ago via Social media.

At Least the international news calls it what it is, Ethnic Riots.

This is what the church attackers wanted. Such actions will only reinforce the jihadist narrative that Muslims are under attack and help their efforts to radicalize and recruit more people to their twisted cause.

COLOMBO: Mobs slashed to death a Sri Lankan Muslim man despite a nationwide curfew imposed on Monday (May 13) night after anti-Muslim riots spread to three districts north of the capital in a violent backlash against Easter suicide bombings.

The 45-year-old man died shortly after admission to a hospital in Puttalam district during the rioting which began Sunday in the area, a police official told AFP.

"Mobs had attacked him with sharp weapons at his carpentry workshop," the official said. "This is the first death from the riots."

What does this rioting actually achieve? What is wrong with these idiotic people, these Muslim had nothing to do with the attacks.

In another month some Christian will get hit for revenge from this nights attacks, then the circle continues.

The bombing was supposedly to advance the Muslim cause.

So the blow-back is now against the muslim cause.

They blocked the car door and prevented the Tamils from leaving the vehicle. 'Hundreds of spectators watched as about 20 Tamils were burnt to death.' Mrs. Skarstein added: 'We can't believe the official casualty figures. Hundreds, maybe thousands, must have been killed already. The police force (which is 95% Sinhalese) did nothing to stop the mobs. There was no mercy. Women, children and old people were slaughtered. Police did nothing to stop the genocide.'

My husband was attacked during the wee hours yesterday morning in Nawala as he came home after a night out. He got off his Uber and was going to walk down our lane when a group of men (around 4/5) in a tuk tuk passing by asked him for his ID. When he refused they surrounded him.

When he produced his ID which is in both Sinhala and Tamil, they thought he’s Tamil. He had to ask if his name sounds Tamil to them. One of them attacked him and he punched back. They left him alone after losing interest/being convinced he’s a Sinhalese.

This begs the question, what would these vigilantes have done if he was Muslim or Tamil?
