first of all the governor is linked to the federal authority directly, he is a rep of the federal, second, all the matters which are decided by the parliament gets discussed with the governor, the governor has a saying in those matters, governor also has some limited law enforcement authority(for example CPLC), he has military representative at his disposal, few months ago governor had powers to decide education policy of sindh

governor also has a small fund at his disposal which he can even use for development

he also instructs the parliament to take certain measures

the fear of governor rule also keeps parliament within its limits and act properly

so governor has influence

nobody will do muk muka simply to get nothing, every muk muka like JI PTI muk muka is based on give and take simple as that

if MQM is not getting anything out of the bargain and the other party is getting everything then this is a very bad muk muka for MQM

as i said, governor is there for a reason, if mumtaz bhutto would have been made governor, things would have got a lot worse, for every one, like it did a decade ago

a vast majority of people even PPP, PMLF are comfortable for having ishrat ul ibad as their governor, let alone business community which has been troubled by gangs and their extortion and kidnappings, if somebody comes to governor house, his problems get solved and thats the reason why ishrat is irreplaceable
