A month after the arrest of terrorist Usman Khan alias Mohammad Naved, another Pakistani terrorist was on Thursday captured alive by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
The terrorist, identified as 22-year-old Sajjad Ahmed, was captured following an over-night encounter near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir. Reports said that the terrorist was being questioned.
According to the Army, Sajjad hails from Muzaffargarh in south west Pakistan.
Three other terrorists were killed in the encounter on Thursday while one was killed on Wednesday.
The security forces had on Wednesday launched a massive operation in north Kashmir, ranging from Uri sector near the Line of Control to Panzalla in Rafiabad area, following information about presence of a group of militants in the area.
"Three militants have been killed while one has been arrested alive during the operation in Rafiabad," an army official said.
A police official said the arrested terrorist is being shifted to Srinagar for questioning.
This comes even as Naved confessed 10 days back, during a lie-detector test, that he was from Pakistan. The terrorist had also confessed that he was trained by Lashkar-e-Toiba to carry out attacks in the Valley.
Naved had said that he and his accomplice were given the specific job to target security forces in India.
Meanwhile, security forces recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition following a separate encounter in Kishtwar. The recovery included one AK-47 rifle. three magazines of AK rifle, 562 AK-47 Rds, eight UBGL grenades, 11 .303 rifle Rds, one satellite phone, four radio sets, 12 hand grenades, four pistol magazines and two binoculars.
