Since Thunder's HP 2 and 6 have the ability to carry 1 SD-10 ( 180KG) , AND in block 3 this number will increase to 2 due to dual rack as per alan warnes and many others , we can carry 2 HMDS capable missiles PL-10E (105KG) on HP 2,6 DUAL RACKS easily . Meanwhile for Long Range A2A missile , PL-21 with range of >150Km , and weight of around 185KG (no official declaration of weight but was comparing its weight to Meteor which is in the same category ) And PL-15 (In the same league as SD-10 and AIM-120D Weight 152kg and range 200km), we can carry 2 -2 Long range missiles in HP 2 and 6 . Meanwhile No official Range or weight is given for the Mysterious PL-X VLRAAM Ramjet (terminal phase) missile which was found on J-16 few months ago being tested , my speculation is that it wont be carryable by Thunder since it had terribly huge size for a light/medium weight fighter so it is only Flanker suitable missile and possible modified version with folded fins will be accomodable by J-20 . In any case , Thunder will get huge boost in terms of weapons carrying capacity in Block 3 onwards. There is a word that Block 2 JF-17B (check the thumbnail attached below) is accompanied with dual racks by an official Info Graphic released by AVIC itself , a photo claiming dual racks on HP 2-6.

Which HMDS shall be used for HOBS missiles? I think A-darter would be better in performance than PL-10.
