it is basically being raised in every corps of ANA
they are commandos so they can never be a threat to Pakistan in direct combat but in asymmetric warfare they are comparable and most likely ten folds better than 555 brigade which was a nightmare for soviets

as for monitoring them it seems next to impossible ..... all we can do is sit back as long as US has the reins in their hands
our only hope for survival against India is favorable Central Asia and Pro-Pakistan Gulf
both seems to be long lost.

I wish it was true
but the bad thing about Gen. Raheel's era is that we have moved from Military Intelligence to Foreign office in dealings with Afghanistan and Taliban
this is exactly the time when we should have been actively and covertly participating in Afghan Politics and Security but all of it has been hampered by American presence and obama policies.

They will veto anything that is not in the security interest of Pakistan and do remember they know Afghanistan like the back of their hands, they know who to watch and who to ignore, I have a feeling they are watching these folks and their senior officers very closely indeed, does that mean we are impervious to the threat, absolutely not yet we can mitigate the magnitude of the threat.Kudos Ibrahim

indeed they are recently brokered peace deal between gulbudin and ghani is evident of Pakistani intentions
just a little push and we can manage a pro-pakistan government but it can not be until US is sitting in Afghanistan
but since this on again off again peace deal is running there is hope.
